BatteriesYour hearing aid uses a battery as its power source.To insert or replace the battery:1. Use the finger pick on the battery door.2. Open the battery door gently and removethe old battery.3. Remove the colored tab from the new battery.Wait 3-5 minutes after removing tab beforeinserting battery.12344. Insert into the battery door, “ ” side up.5. Close the battery door. NEVER FORCE THE BATTERY DOOR SHUT.This could result in serious damage. If the doorwill not close securely, check that the battery isinserted correctly. Do not open the battery door too far ordamage is likely to occur. Dispose of used batteries immediately inthe proper waste or recycling container.545

Battery Indicators Use a cleaning brush or soft cloth toclean debris from around the user control,microphone and battery compartment. Inspect the receiver, earbud and wax guardregularly. Never use water, solvents, cleaning fluidsor oil to clean your hearing aid.An indicator will sound when the battery voltage islow. You have approximately 30 minutes* to replacethe battery. An indicator may also sound just beforethe battery stops working.Power On & OffTO TURN ON:Insert a battery and completely close the batteryHelpful Hints When not wearing your hearing aid, open thebattery door to allow any moisture to evaporate. Do not take apart your hearing aids or insertthe cleaning tools inside them. When not in use, place your hearing aid in thestorage container and store:door. Your hearing aid has a power‑on delay whichmay require a few seconds. You may hear a toneindicating that your hearing aid is powered on.TO TURN OFF:Open the battery door until the battery is no longertouching the battery contacts.–– In a dry, safe placeHearing Aid Care–– Away from direct sunlight and heatto avoid extreme temperaturesKeep your hearing aid clean. Whenyou need to replace your wax guards, please followthe instructions below.121. Insert empty end of the application stickstraight into used wax guard in hearing aid.2. Pull straight out (do not twist) on stick toremove used wax guard.33. Use opposite end of stick to firmly insert cleanwax guard straight into hearing aid.4. Pull straight out (do not twist) to remove stickand discard.489

Connecting Your HearingAids to Your Apple DeviceFollow the instructions below to connect your hearingaids to your Apple device. If your hearing aidsever lose connection to your device, follow theinstructions below to reconnect.4. Tap on your hearing aid name to connect yourhearing aids to the iOS device.5. You will see two pairing requests (one for eachhearing aid). Select Pair for each request.These requests may be several seconds apart.6. When pairing is complete, your hearing aidname will change from black to blue.1. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your iOSdevice. Within the Settings menu go toBluetooth and toggle to On.2. Return to the Settings menu and tap General Accessibility MFi Hearing Devices.3. While the iOS device searches for your hearingaids, open and close the battery door on yourhearing aids. This puts the hearing aids inpairing mode.–– You will see your hearing aid name (e.g.“Chris Hearing Aids”) when the iOS devicefirst discovers your hearing aids.–– If your hearing aid name does not appearin the “Devices” list within 5-7 seconds, tapAccessibility in the upper left corner, thentap MFi Hearing Devices.1011

What this Limited Warranty CoversHow to Obtain Warranty ServiceThis Limited Warranty covers only a “defect” in theworkmanship performed and/or materials used tomanufacture your hearing aid.Deliver your hearing aid (at your expense) to the Starkeyauthorized hearing professional from whom you purchasedit. If that professional is unavailable, visit www.starkey.comor call the toll-free telephone number on the back of theOperations Manual to locate another authorized Starkeyhearing professional.“Defect” means the failure of the workmanship performedand/or materials used to conform the hearing aid to Starkey’sdesign and manufacturing specifications and tolerances.Your hearing professional may have issued a warranty orservice plan that goes beyond the provisions of this LimitedWarranty. Please contact him or her for further information.Starkey will either replace the hearing aid or repair anycovered defect in your hearing aid, provided that youdeliver your hearing aid to one of Starkey’s authorizedhearing professionals and notify the hearing professional ofthe defect during the warranty period and within thirty (30)days of discovering the defect. There will be no cost to youfor Starkey’s repair or replacement of the aid itself, but thehearing professional may charge a fee for services he or sheprovides. Performance of warranty repairs on your hearingaid shall not extend the duration of the warranty period.Any repairs performed on your hearing aid after the warrantyperiod has expired shall be considered “good will” repairs,which shall not alter the terms of this Limited Warranty.18What this Limited Warranty Does Not CoverBatteries, earmolds, accessories, or damage to your hearingaid caused by misuse or neglect, accident, unauthorizedalteration, or failure to provide reasonable and necessarymaintenance and cleaning.Disclaimer of Consequential and IncidentalDamagesTHE PURCHASER SHALL NOT BE ENTITLED TO RECOVERFROM STARKEY ANY CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTALDAMAGES RESULTING FROM ANY DEFECT IN THE HEARINGAID, INCLUDING BY WAY OF EXAMPLE ONLY, EXPENSES TODELIVER THE HEARING AID TO AN AUTHORIZED HEARINGPROFESSIONAL, HOTEL ROOMS, OR LOST WAGES. THISEXCLUSION AND DISCLAIMER OF CONSEQUENTIAL ANDINCIDENTAL DAMAGES SHALL BE DEEMED INDEPENDENTOF, AND SHALL SURVIVE, ANY FAILURE OF THE ESSENTIALPURPOSE OF ANY REMEDY OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY.Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitationof consequential or incidental damages, so the aboveexclusions may not apply to you.19

Your Legal RemediesTHIS LIMITED WARRANTY DOES NOT “EXTEND TOFUTURE PERFORMANCE.” ANY ACTION TO ENFORCETHIS LIMITED WARRANTY OR ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIESMAY AND SHALL NOT BE COMMENCED MORE THAN90 DAYS AFTER THE EXPIRATION OF THE WARRANTYPERIOD. THE PERFORMANCE OF REPAIRS SHALL NOTSUSPEND THIS LIMITATIONS PERIOD FROM EXPIRING.UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL STARKEY BEOBLIGATED TO REFUND ALL OR ANY PART OF THEPURCHASE PRICE OF THE HEARING AID.
