City Schools Approach to WellnessWhat is Wellness?- Time to recharge and take care of personal needs away from the traditional school/work environment- Time during the regular work day on-site to do grading, collaborate with colleagues, and plan lessons- Time for activities which support overall wellness and wellbeing, such as "no meetings" time,professional learning opportunities focused on wellness, or specially scheduled wellness activities.Where and How Wellness Shows Up in the SY 22-23 Calendar Early Release Days for students when teachers and staff may catch up with lesson planning andcomplete other tasks while students are off and without scheduled meetings. Full Wellness Days as an extension of the Thanksgiving (November 23) and Winter (December23) breaks. During these days, our school-based educators, most of our central office staff and ourstudents and families can attend to their wellness away from the traditional school/work environment.14
