STETSON SHOWCASEAPRIL 14, 2015A Celebration of Achievement at Stetson UniversityAbout the Undergraduate Research and Creative Arts Symposium Showcase:This event, with its debut in 1999 and former names of Undergraduate Scholarship andPerformance Day (USAPD) and later Undergraduate Scholarship Day (USD), was designed tofoster an appreciation for academic achievements here at Stetson University. The studentpresenters have a wonderful opportunity to share their research and projects with the StetsonUniversity community. Historically, the student projects have included a wide variety ofexcellent student work.JUDGING CRITERIA AND PRIZES:Each group of judges for each specific location will be deciding among themselvesappropriate and consistent criteria that will help them decide which presentations were mosteffective. In general, students are asked to discuss their projects at a level that anyone notknowing the area can understand. Part of an effective presentation is effective communication,and the judges keep this as consistent criteria for choosing the best presentation for allinvolved. The winners of each of the six locations will receive a Maris Prize of 200 and acertificate of excellence.
