School Vision and MissionVenture School (Alternative)’s Vision and Mission StatementsVenture Mission: Our mission is to offer an independent study program that meets the unique needs of each student by providing arich, rigorous, and relevant academic experience in a safe, caring learning environment.Venture Vision: Our vision is to develop and sustain a dynamic 21st Century educational program that will meet the ever-changingneeds of our students in a global, technologically advanced society.School ProfileStudents from the San Ramon Valley Unified School District (SRVUSD) may enroll at Venture School at their request. The San RamonValley Unified School District encompasses the communities of Alamo, Diablo, Danville, San Ramon, and a small portion of WalnutCreek. Students from outside the district may be accepted, upon administrative approval, with a signed inter-district transfer.Venture offers an Elementary Independent Study (home school) program for students in Kindergarten through 5th grade and aSecondary Independent Study program for students in 6th-12th grade. An Adult Education Diploma program is also available fornon-graduating seniors and adults within the school district.Venture was established as an Independent Study program in the San Ramon Valley Unified School District in 1977 at the SRVUSDEducation Center.
