Course DetailsLevel 2 – Beauty TherapyLevel 3 – Beauty Therapy- This course offers the opportunity to learn the skillsnecessary for employment in the beauty therapyprofession. You will learn techniques which are indemand from employers in the beauty therapy industry.- This course offers the opportunity to learn the skills necessaryfor employment in the beauty therapy profession. You willlearn techniques which are in demand from employers in thebeauty therapy industry.- The VTCT Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Beauty TherapyGeneral (QCF) is a substantial vocational qualification forlearners seeking a career as an employed and/or selfemployed beauty therapist. This qualification is based onthe beauty therapy National Occupational Standards(NOS) and is recognised by the UK's leading professionalbodies (The British Association of Beauty Therapy andCosmetology (BABTAC) and the Federation of HolisticTherapists (FHT) as being fit for purpose for preparinglearners for a career as a junior beauty therapist.- The VTCT Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Beauty Therapy Massage isa substantial vocational qualification that will confirm yourcompetence as a beauty massage therapist. This qualificationforms part of an apprenticeship framework, however; some ofthe treatments covered within this qualification are subject toage restrictions in certain regions, where local council specialtreatment licensing applies. Employers are also mindful of thesensitive nature of the service, and due to this, the availabilityof apprenticeships in beauty massage may be limited in somecases. For this reason, the VTCT Level 3 NVQ Diploma inBeauty Therapy Massage is also offered outsideapprenticeships by education and training providers who canoffer this course in a real salon environment and provide youwith the opportunity to learn beauty massage skills, whilstworking on real clients.
Level 3 - ReflexologyVTCT Level 3 Diploma in ReflexologyThe VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology is a substantial vocational qualification that will prepare you for a career as a reflexologist. This qualification is designed forlearners aged 16 years or over and will support you to gain employment as a reflexologist, as the units contained in this qualification cover all the skills andknowledge required for this role. Entry onto this qualification can be via previous attainment of a Level 2 qualification in complementary therapy and/or asuccessful skills test and interview.This is a vocational qualification and includes all the required elements to work effectively as a reflexologist including, mandatory units covering the following:knowledge and understanding of the principles and practice and business practice, anatomy, physiology and pathology for complementary therapies. You will alsodevelop your understanding and practical skills to competently provide reflexology treatments.Modules of Study and learning outcomes: Business practice for complementary therapies; Principles and practice of complementary therapies; Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathology for complementary therapies; Provide reflexology for complementary therapies;Level 3 – Make-up ArtistryVTCT Level 3 Diploma in Make-up ArtistryThe VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Make-up Artistry is a substantial vocational qualification that will prepare you for a career as a make-up artist. This qualification isdesigned for learners aged 16 years or over and will support you to gain employment as a make-up artist, as the units contained in this qualification cover all theskills and knowledge required for this role. Entry onto this qualification can be via previous attainment of a Level 2 qualification in beauty therapy and/or asuccessful skills test and interview.This is a vocational qualification and includes all the required elements to work effectively as a make-up artist including mandatory units covering the following:applying make-up, instruction on make-up, fashion and photographic make-up, media make-up, camouflage make-up and promoting products and services.You will also have the opportunity to further develop your understanding and skills by selecting a number of optional specialist units which include: airbrush makeup, mehendi, styling and fitting a postiche, displaying stock to promote retail of products.

You will be required to write a CV and attend aninterview for your placement and will be given full support inpreparing for this. The employment engagement team willassist you in finding your placement.You will need 4 GCSEs at grade D/3 or higher including Maths &English OR a level 1 related qualification.For students who achieved Grade 3 or lower, Reynolds assistyou in your continued studies in these subjects at GCSE orFunctional Skills level (depending on grades)

Reynolds Training Academy FeesAll learners aged 16, 17 and 18 will receive full government funding forthe courses. If you are aged 19 the courses can be funded via theadvanced learning loan.You will be required to purchase a uniform tunic, supply your owntailored plain black trousers and black low heeled loafers or similarapproved flat closed in black shoes.All learners are required to pay a non-refundable course contributionfee (16-18) Registration fees (19 ). Further information regardingamounts payable will be given on the Open Days. All fees are payable onyour first day of attendance.

Class sizes are small so that individual care and attention is maintained within a groupenvironment, enabling students to progress and realise their full potential more rapidly andreceive regular general and individualised feedback in every class. There are 3 levels of study;level 2, 3 and 4 providing opportunities for students to progress through a 3 year trainingprogramme should they wish to.Pastoral care and individual attention is at the heart of our work and our priority is to supportstudents’ individual needs. We have a number of specialist staff that will guide and mentorstudents throughout their programme of study including individualised academic support,personal tutors and a lifestyle coach and counsellor. Students engage in a 1:1 review with theirpersonal tutor each term as well as regular catch-ups and group tutorials.
