INTRODUCTIONAxia Companies is owned and operated by two highly qualified and motivated individuals whoboth have significant development and construction experience throughout the United States.Jeff Schaumann, PresidentBrett Rossell, PresidentAxia DevelopmentAxia ContractingAxia Companies specializes in general contracting services and the production of Multi-family,student housing, hospitality and senior housing. With extensive background experience inconstruction and development and a vast knowledge base of the real estate industry, AxiaCompanies is known for its many successful construction and development projects throughoutthe United States.ABOUT USThe word AXIA is derived from the Greek word meaning “Worth” and / or “Value”. At AxiaCompanies, our knowledge and expertise is key to bringing and adding value to our customer’sprojects. We not only understand how to build your project, we also understand that the purposeof the project is to build our customer’s net worth.With offices in North Dakota and Texas, our experienced team works collaboratively with ownersto fully understand their specific needs and goals. AXIA CONTRACTING:Axia Contracting operates as the General Contracting division. Our staff has extensive experiencemanaging and building Multi-family and commercial projects in challenging environments.Multi-family, student housing, hospitality, senior housing, office and various forms of commercialprojects are all within the Axia scope of experience.Axia is nimble and flexible as to geographic reach. We have built extensively in most areas fromthe Mississippi River west to the Rocky Mountains. We currently have active projects in Texas,Colorado, California, Missouri, Minnesota, and North Dakota.Our customers have come to know, respect and trust our team. As hands-on owners, we arecommitted to serving not only the immediate needs of our customers, but also to developinglong-term, strategic relationships as the core of our business. Our expertise and experienceprovides our customers with the resources needed to complete each and every project successfully.AXIA DEVELOPMENT:Axia Development operates in several capacities. As a developer, advisor, sponsor and investor,we bring years of experience and in-depth knowledge to the development and constructionprocesses.As the Lead, Axia Development is responsible for development projects ranging from 1 millionto 50 million. We understand how to manage projects of any size and we also understand thatregardless of the size, each project is important to the overall success of our partners. From siteselection, due diligence, entitlements, construction, completion, delivery, and sale, we understandthe complexities and nuances of market dynamics.The professional experience, expertise and knowledge of our team are paramount to our company’ssuccess. John HilzVice President, Business Development and MarketingJohn brings to the Axia family of companies more than 35 years of experience and knowledgeof the construction, construction services, and business development industry. John is wellversed in Multi-family, student housing, senior housing and hospitality. John is responsiblefor the introduction of the Axia family of companies to the real estate and developmentcommunities in Texas, the Southwest and Southeast. John is a native Texan and holds a BSdegree in both Business Administration and Science from the University of North Texas inDenton, Texas. He also holds a state of Texas Real Estate Broker’s License. John has beenon both sides as an owner and developer.Ryan JensonProject ManagerLocated in Axia’s Fargo office, Ryan is responsible for overseeing and directing constructionprojects from conception to completion. This includes estimating, developing projectbudgets and schedules, subcontractor negotiations and contracting, coordinating withon-site project superintendents, and ensuring the use of quality construction standards andproper techniques to complete projects on schedule, budget and with high quality. Ryan hasexperience working on multi-family and light commercial projects throughout North Dakotaand Texas. Dave BerdalProject ManagerDavid Berdal Project Manager Located in Axia’s Fargo office, David is responsible foroverseeing and directing construction projects from conception to completion. This includesestimating, developing project budgets and schedules, subcontractor negotiations andcontracting, coordinating with on-site project superintendents, and ensuring the use ofquality construction standards and proper techniques to complete projects on schedule,budget and with high quality. David has been involved in construction for over 30 yearsand his work has included construction field management, field staff training, constructionoperations as well as over 12 years as a Project Manager and Senior Project Manager.Brittany FeickertControllerAs Corporate Controller, Brittany provides critical support to the daily operations of thevarious divisions within the Axia family of companies. She is responsible for the oversight ofall accounting records and production of financial reporting. This includes directly managingaccounting processes and procedures, cash management, general ledger accounting,internal controls and financial reporting for all Conventional and HUD 221 (d)(4) projects.Brittany joined Axia Companies in 2015 and has over 14 years’ experience in the accountingindustry in which she maximizes technology to accomplish and meet deadlines in a timelyand accurate manner. She studied at North Dakota State University and holds a Bachelorof Science degree in Business Administration with a major focus on HR Management.AXIA COMPANIESPage 9
