Choosing Classes Follow the “Recommended Program of Study for Full-Time PreLicensure BSN Students” (website/BSN Handbook) A & P I should be taken before A & P II Introduction to Psychology (PSYC B101) should be taken before DevelopmentalPsychology (PSYC B321) English Composition (ENGL B101) should be taken before EnglishComp./Literature (ENGL B102) College Algebra (MATH B111) should be taken before Statistics (STAT B201) Spanish is recommended but not required; other languages are acceptable Meet with your advisor at least once a semester & more often if needed All pre-requisite credits must be successfully completed by the end of the Fall 2021semester prior to the start of the program in January 20224

Application Process Nursing CAS: online application; opens in Mid-March 2021; alldocuments are due to CAS no later than August 1, 2021**CAS must verify transcripts. GRADE ISSUES: PASS/FAILUSCB will only accept letter grades (not pass/fail) for all NursingProgram courses. Courses include both those that are pre-requisites toentering the Nursing Program, and those taken within the NursingProgram itself.Any applicant who takes a Nursing Program course for pass/fail may berequired, through an additional exam, to demonstrate competency atthe same required level required as if taken for a letter grade.Note: The Student Affairs Committee members (whose members reviewall applications) will consider applications with letter grades for allNursing Program requirements prior to considering applications withpass/fail classes in any Nursing Program courses.6

How to Ensure Your ApplicationWill Be Considered Submit application as early aspossibleFollow all Nursing CASrequirements carefully Provide CAS with an emailaddress you check everyday. Provide CAS with a permanentphone number where you checkmessages regularly (not a worknumber). Transcripts, transcripts,transcripts Submit transcripts from Summer2021 courses! Do not submit until you areBe assertive and regularly follow ready, but don’t forget toactivate the “submit” buttonup with CAS on your applicationwhen you are ready.to ensure transcripts have been received. Problems with your application?Please call CAS, not USCB.Give your requested recommenders at least 2 weeks to respond to yourrequest for a recommendation. Their recommendations must be submitted byAugust 1, 2021.8
