The Provost is responsible for all aspects of the University’sacademic mission, including the intellectual environment for faculty, students, and staff, andplanning, budgeting, supervising, and reviewing programs in instruction, research, and continuingeducation. The direct reports to the Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs, includingthe Deans of KSU’s 11 colleges, the Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Associate ViceProvost for Student Success, Assistant Vice President for Fiscal Operations and Strategy, AssociateVice President for Global Engagement, Professional Education, and Strategic Initiatives, provideassistance and support to the Provost in carrying out the following responsibilities: Providing academic leadership and vision for transformative impact across the University; Advancing the teaching, research, and service missions appropriate to a leading R2university; Providing leadership for student success Providing administrative oversight and external representation for the Academic Division; Developing an intellectual environment for faculty, students, and staff; Planning, budgeting, and supervising Academic Affairs; and Reviewing programs in instruction, research, and continuing education.The selected candidate will possess an earned terminal degree and appropriate credentials to betenured as a full professor in one of the University’s academic departments.
