With a focus on both education and real-world experience, CampCardiac provides students with a unique opportunity to learn directly from experts in the medicalfield. In addition, this 1-week summer day camp provides a foundation for heart healthy livingwith an emphasis on both diet and exercise. Although Camp Cardiac’s primary focus is on careand maintenance of the heart, it provides an excellent starting point for careers in all fields ofmedicine. Professor James Basker designedthese programs for students in grades 7-12 with the goal of giving them the opportunity to liveand study in historic centers of learning.
