Frequently Asked QuestionsWhat courses can I take? The State of Ohio requires CCP students to take Level 1 coursesbefore they can take Level 2 courses. COTC classes are Level 1according to the definition in the state’s course eligibility rules. Browse our course catalog.Where can I take classes? At a partnering high school On a COTC campus OnlineHow are courses offered? Face-to-face Online Students complete work independently based on assignmentdeadlines. Instructors may or may not provide recorded lectures. Remote Synchronous courses meet through Zoom during the posteddays and times on the course schedule. Asynchronous courses do not meet through Zoom duringscheduled days and times. However, the faculty will post videolectures in Canvas and may offer virtual office hours forstudents to schedule time to meet with them. Hybrid courses are a combination of face-to-face andonline participation.Are there services and supports available to help studentsbe successful? CCP ScholarshipReceive 1,500 per semester after high school graduationWho’s eligible: 2021 high school graduates who have completed 3 or more credit hours at COTC through CCP and have a minimumCOTC grade point average (GPA) of 2.0.How it works: Earn 3 or more credit hours through CCP at COTC. File the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) annually and submit any additional documentationrequested for the financial aid process. Complete the free COTC application for admission. Enroll at COTC in the autumn or spring semester immediately after your high school graduation. Your award is automatic — there’s no separate CCP Scholarship application. 1,500 is awarded to students who enroll in 6 credit hours or more per semester. Students can be awarded 1,500 for two semesters each academic year for a total annual award of 3,000.
