She reported that ECMC has been makingimprovement in diverse hiring and was the top company for hiring residents from the14215 zip code. Mr. Dandes reminded the board members that there will be Diversityand Inclusion training in 2021.

He also reviewed the hospital’s initiatives in response to the increase inCOVID-19 patients.Karen Ziemianski reported on the results of the National Database of Nursing QualityIndicators survey.Dr. Quatroche reviewed events that occurred during the month demonstratingexternal support for the hospital and internal support of the staff. IT has establisheda Virtual School Support Line for parents of school age children.With six weeks remaining, the Annual Giving Campaign is on schedule to surpasslast years totals in both participation and dollar amount. The ECMC Foundation willsupport 79 individuals in their educational advancement through the ProfessionalDevelopment Fund.Chief Financial OfficerJonathan Swiatkowski reported increased inpatient volumes and emergency room visitsand a decrease in observation cases and surgeries. Mr. Swiatkowski reviewed monthlyand year-to-date financial performance and the continuing impact of COVID-19.

A Resolution of the Board of Directors of Erie County Medical Center CorporationApproving Sale of 2282 Elmwood Avenue Real PropertyApproved November 24, 2020WHEREAS, Erie County Medical Center Corporation (the “Corporation”) holds title tocertain real property located at 2282 Elmwood Avenue, Village of Kenmore, New York (the“Property”); andWHEREAS, the Corporation has determined it has no current use for the Property and wishesto dispose of it in accordance with New York property disposal requirements, including those setforth within Article 9, Title 5-A of New York Public Authorities Law and the Corporation’sDisposal of Property Guidelines; andWHEREAS, in accordance with the law and its guidelines, the Corporation has obtained anappraisal of the property and multiple bids to purchase from prospective buyers; andWHEREAS, the Corporation wishes to sell the Property to the highest bidder;NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of Directors resolves as follows:1.The Board of Directors of Erie County Medical Center Corporation herebyapproves and ratifies the sale of the Property to WNY Property Connection, Inc., consistent withthe contract executed between the parties dated August 7, 2020, for a sum of one hundred ninetythousand dollars ( 190,000), minus such costs, expenses, or other adjustments to the sale pricedeemed necessary by the Corporation to effectuate the sale.2.The Chief Financial Officer of the Corporation, Jonathan Swiatkowski, is vestedwith the requisite authority to execute all of the necessary documents with respect to the sale ofthe Property, upon approval of these documents by the Corporation’s Office of General Counsel.2.This resolution shall take effect immediately.Bishop Michael A. It was notedthat the process should be easier for providersas the Security Dispatch office is available24/7.The need for badges for Medical Students etcwas discussed.
