Graduate Tuition Rates (Fall 2020- Summer 2021)Admit Terms Prior to Summer 2020Tuition is assessed by course level, not student classification (i.e. if an Undergraduate student takes a Graduatelevel course they are charged the Graduate tuition rate). Other factors that determine the per credit rate are:residency, admission term, course campus and for some graduate students their college or program of study.Non-Florida resident students are assessed the same fees as Florida residents plus additional out-of-state fees.ONE USF- CONSOLIDATION OF USF CAMPUSESStudents admitted before Summer 2020 will see additional charges on their accounts labeled “One USF” for StPete and Sarasota-Manatee courses and flat fees. Per the current USF tuition regulation, if you have maintaineduninterrupted active enrollment you are not required to pay these fees. A waiver will be applied to your accountto cover those charges through Fall 2023 as long as your admit term does not change. STATE FEE DESCRIPTIONSTuition - GraduatePurpose: The basic tuition charged to a student for instruction provided by a public post-secondary educationalinstitution in this state.Tuition - Grad State FeesPurpose: The Graduate State Fees consist of fees for both Capital Improvements and Financial Aid asdescribed below. Capital Improvement Fee - Exists to provide educational and support facilities for students, faculty,and staff in a manner that maximizes the effectiveness of the capital investment, maximizes the use ofexisting facilities, and promotes orderly, planned campus development. Financial Aid Fee - A university board of trustees is authorized to collect, for financial aid purposes, anamount not to exceed 5% of the tuition and out-of-state fee.LOCAL FEE DESCRIPTIONSTuition - Grad Local Fees / Tuition-GR Local Fees One USFPurpose: The Graduate Local Fees consist of fees for Athletics, Activities and Services and Student Health asdescribed below. Athletics Fee - Supplements the university’s diverse athletic programs and provides students a means toenjoy university athletic events without direct cost to the student. Supports programming at athleticspaces. Assessed per credit hour and as a flat fee. Activities and Services Fee - Supports student governing boards and programs and studentorganizations to improve services directly related to student activities. Student Health Fee - Funds programming that promotes healthy lifestyle choices and provides studentsaccess to the campus-based Student Health Services with many services offered at little to no direct costto the student.OTHER FEE DESCRIPTIONSTuition - Grad Transportation/ Tuition-Transportation One USFPurpose: The transportation Access Fee supports the USF System’s transportation infrastructure.Tuition - Facilities FeePurpose: The Student Facilities Use Fee facilitates the use of USF’s student union, The Marshall Center.Assessed per credit hour and as a flat fee.Tuition - Graduate Tech FeePurpose: The Technology Fee funds the maintenance and expansion of University technology services and theexpansion of wireless capabilities and services.Tuition- Green Energy Fee/ Tuition - Green Fee One USFPurpose: The Green Energy Fee is used to establish or improve the use of renewable energy technologies orenergy efficiencies that directly lower greenhouse gas emissions, waste, or energy costs.
