The Looking Glass RoomThe Ivy Castle View offers an intimate private space for eventsand functions which is available to book seven days a weekfor breakfast, lunch and dinner.The Looking Glass Room is adorned with colourful vintage printsand locally referenced artwork inspired by Guildford’s historic heritage,the Surrey landscape, Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland, and the goldensands of the ancient River Whey.The Art Deco-style, polished dark oak parquet floor and gilded iron pendantlighting add a touch of glamour to the space. In addition, The Looking GlassRoom features a beautiful silk clad and pale orange onyx bar, decorated withantique brass rod detailing, as well as its own private covered terrace, completewith beautiful views across Guildford Castle, making the room suitable for bothseated and standing receptions.Ideally situated within the Tunsgate Quarter shopping centre on thebustling Guildford High Street, our private dining room is located on the firstfloor of the brasserie.The Looking Glass Room at The Ivy Castle View accommodates 30 guests onone long table, 38 guests across multiple tables or 70 guests for a standingreception, making it ideal for all occasions including wedding receptions,corporate events and private parties.Our dedicated Events Manager is available to assist with any details to enhanceyour occasion whether that be music, floral arrangements or table design tocreate a truly memorable event.
