Since then,it became an avenue for Wali to share his story. Being Muslim, being Pakistani, and being ateenager wasn’t easy — but with the right mentors and a coping strategy, it became easier.In this presentation, Wali will share his story to success and speak about his journey and itschallenges. She earned herMFA in creative writing at UBC while still practicing law. Her novel Five Little Indianswas nominated for the Giller Prize, a finalist for the Writer’s Trust Prize, and winner of theGovernor General’s Award for Fiction, the Amazon First Novel Award, and the RakutenKobo Emerging Author Award.
