The sooner yourecognize suspicious activities, the quicker you can alert local law enforcement of a crime in the making.Be suspicious of people who: Make signals to each other in your store Ask unusual questions like: How manypeople are working today? What is themost expensive item you carry? Whereis your safe located? Do you offerin-store credit?Take pictures or videos of your merchandise or displaysAre more interested in your security than your merchandise Are or appear to be talking on the phone Avoid eye contact and conversation Are dressed to disguise their appearance Come in at unlikely hours Avoid touching anything Come in as odd groupingsHere are a few things to include in this logbook: Descriptions of PeopleEthnicity, hair color/style, eye color, height, weight, estimated age, glasses,style of clothing, tattoos and otherphysical traits Descriptions of VehiclesMake, model, estimated year, color, license plate and other features likedamage, rust, and bumper stickers Unique Notes Did they tell you a particular story aboutwho they were shopping for or why theywere browsing at your location? Werethey looking for specific merchandiseor mention price points?
