Hebraic Roots BibleIntroduction.Since I started my international humanitarian mission work over 21 years ago,it became apparent to me that many Bible translations are flawed at best, orabsolutely corrupted at worst. As African Brethren would read to me thescriptures that were written in their native tongue, I found it difficult to believeBiblical scholars could be so deficient when translating the written word into thevernacular of these peoples.I will say upfront that I am neither a Hebrew or Aramaic scholar, and don’tclaim to be one. I have lived in the land of Israel for at least half of the year overthe last 20 years, and have been a true covenant believer in Yahshua Messiah forover 37 years and also have been a Pastor and teacher of the Word for more than25 years. I will also publicly state that I am firmly convinced that it was the HolySpirit’s inspiration and not the intellectual knowledge of myself that has put thisHebraic Roots Bible together. I have fervently prayed and asked our HeavenlyFather for guidance throughout the five years that I have been working on thisproject. I can also tell you that many times while doing this work I felt the spiritof YAHWEH directing and guiding me to the finished work of this translation. This work is to the glory of YAHWEH for the end time remnant to have the closestmanuscript possible to the original Scriptures that were inspired for theCongregations of YAHWEH.Eventually, I conceded that it was not in ignorance that most Bible translationshave many flaws. Since the invention of the printing press and the ProtestantReformation when the Holy Scriptures were translated from the original Hebrewand Aramaic languages respectively, translators in almost every case have usedan anti-Torah and anti-Hebrew premise during the production of their particulartranslations.I have studied and perceived that some translations are third and forthgenerations away from the original language. Each translation strays farther fromthe original text and becomes watered down and more distant from the truth. Anexample is you could start with the word couch and then, translate it into sofa, and from there to love-seat, then to chair, bench, plank etc. So you can see if youare not using the original language and meaning you can stray from the truthvery quickly. It is very clear from the historical, archeological and Biblicalevidence in the world today that the original Tanach, known to many as the OldTestament was indeed first written in the ancient Paleo Hebrew language. It is also proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that the New Testament was notoriginally written in Greek, but was written in Aramaic (the everyday spokenlanguage of our Savior Yahshua) and later translated into Greek. It is not thepurpose of this manuscript to try to prove this fact with countless details andexamples to the skeptic, but to simply put the original Hebrew and Aramaicmanuscripts together for the true body of Messiah. (This is another propheticpoint of "all things being restored" in the last days.) The following are a few3

Hebraic Roots Bibleexamples:The New Testament is filled with Aramaic words such as “Talithaqumi” in Mark5:41, and “Corban” in Mark 7:11, or “Ephatha” in Mark 7:34 as well as manyother places. What is most interesting is that in the Greek manuscripts wherethese Aramaic words are, it states directly after the Aramaic phrase the words"which is being translated as". What is quite striking is you never see thesewords in the original Peshitta Aramaic New Testament manuscripts. So whichcame first, the Greek or the Aramaic? The answer is self evident by themanuscript that is clearly identifying itself as the translation. Also, there are several instances in the translated Greek manuscript where thetranslator transliterated an Aramaic phrase into the Greek copy, with atransliterated word that does not exist in the Greek language. One such exampleis in Mark 3:17 where Yahshua has nicknamed two of His apostles as “B’naiRagshee”, which in English means “Sons of thunder”, but this phrase istransliterated into the Greek as “Boanerges”, which is not a word or phrase inGreek. The fact that an Aramaic phrase is transliterated into Greek with noidentical translation clearly proves that the original was the Aramaic. So verydistinctly, when you do a scientific primacy test, as scholars have done, in everycase the Aramaic Peshitta manuscript comes out as the original over the Greekand other Aramaic manuscripts. This is not to say that the Greek Textus Receptus manuscript on which the KingGood News Bible is translated is a flawed or ingenuous translation. On thecontrary, I believe that the Greek Textus Receptus is generally a very goodtranslation from the original Aramaic Peshitta, but as in any translated work, there are mistakes and things that were missed in the translation from onelanguage to another. When putting together this Hebraic Roots Bible, I took the Peshitta text for theNew Testament and its translation by several predominant scholars, such asGeorge Lamsa, Murdock, Paul Yonan, Janet M. Magiera, and compared passagesfrom both the Khabouris Codex, and from Gabriel Roth’s Ruach Qadim book. Inchecking with these various Aramaic translations of the Peshitta text, I alsoclosely compared them to the Greek translation and prayerfully tried to give aliteral translation of what the original intent was of each books writer from theoriginal language and circumstances. I do believe that the Greek translationhelped much in this regard. You will be much surprised to find that contrary to the translations of mostGreek manuscripts today, the original Aramaic manuscripts do NOT have ananti-Torah (law) bias, and clearly shows that not only did our Savior Yahshuauphold the Torah perfectly, but that the Torah was also a prerequisite for Hisdisciples that followed after Him. You will also notice something most striking inthis translation that has never been done before. Close to 100 times in the Tanach(Old Testament) you find the personal name of our Savior Yahshua personified inthe Holy Scriptures and yet because most translators do not recognize the true4

Hebraic Roots BibleHebrew name of our Savior Yahshua, they do not translate these references aboutour Messiah into the English language. In Hebrew every word goes back to a two or three letter root word, andoriginally Hebrew was actually 22 pictures or characters and not letters to whichit later developed. The root letters in Hebrew of our Saviors name, Yahshua, isYod, Shin, Ayin. In the Hebrew language according to whether a word is a verbor noun or adjective, it reflects in the grammatical structure of the root word withthe proper prefix or suffix added to show what form the word is in the sentence.I find it most amazing though that whether the root word Yod, Shin, Ayin, isin the noun form or verb form, adjective form, or even at times as the personalpronoun "He", it still always means the same as our savior’s name Yahshua, which is "salvation". So I have translated the root word Yod, Shin, Ayin, as Ibelieve it was intended, in the personal name of our Savior Yahshua. Since I knowthat some others may differ, I have marked each one of these references with anasterisk * so as to let the reader know each time one of these occurrences appears. The fact that these references in the Tanach are clearly inspired by the Holy Spiritand are indeed references about Yahshua Messiah can easily be seen by thefollowing scripture comparison.Isa 49:6 And He said, It is too little that You should be My servant to raise upthe tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved ones of Israel; I will also giveYou, my Yahshua* (salvation), to be for a light of the nations, to the end ofthe earth.Luk 2: 26-30 And it happened to him, having been divinely instructed by theHoly Spirit, he was not to see death before he would see the Messiah ofYAHWEH. 27 And by the Spirit he came into the sanctuary. And as the parentswere bringing in the child Yahshua for them to do according to the custom ofthe Torah concerning Him, 28 even Simeon received Him into his arms. And heblessed YAHWEH and said, 29 "Now dismiss your servant in peace, Adonai, according to your word. 30 Because my eyes saw Your Salvation(Yahshua),Luk 3:5 All the valleys will be filled and all the mountains and heights will beleveled. And the rough will become smooth, and the difficult land a plain 6 " andall flesh shall see the salvation of YAHWEH." (Isa 40:3-5)Now can anyone deny that “the salvation” that was seen by Simeon in verse 30of Luke the second chapter and Luke 3:5 is indeed referring directly to Yahshua? And if that is the case than I believe I can just as strongly argue that thesomewhat 100 references to Yahshua in the Old Testament also do indeed mostcertainly personally infer to Him, even when the grammatical form may be a verbor adjective, as Yahshua is all living and created all things and is all things. Also, our Savior clearly calls Himself the Aleph and the Tav (Alpha and Omega in theGreek text) in Rev 1:8, and also Rev 22:13. The Aleph and the Tav are the first5

Hebraic Roots Bibleand last letter in the Hebrew alphabet. Interesting enough is the fact that in theHebrew language an aleph and tav are inserted in certain places to showpossession, however it is not translatable. Since some of the places could not becoincidental, as they are extremely important Messianic scriptures, such asZechariah 12:10, I have left the pertinent aleph/tav’s in place for the reader tosee, even though they don’t translate into English.I would also like to say that although I do believe the Hebrew Masoretic text ofthe Tanach or Old Covenant is indeed the oldest and overall most reliable sourceof Scripture that we have, I also want to caution that the lying pen of the scribeshas not kept the Masoretic text without fault. There has been several areas wherethe translators of the Masoretic text purposely changed scripture to fit their owntheology. So what I did was to check and reference each discrepancy with theMasoretic text with at least two other witnesses of written ancient Scriptures, which in most cases would have been the Septuagint Greek translation from thesecond century B.C.E., or the Brit Hadashah (New Testament writings)and alsothe Dead Sea Scrolls, written between the 1st and 2nd century B.C.E. I will listsome of the scribal errors of the Masoretic text below.1) The personal name of YAHWEH was changed 113 times to Adonai in theMasoretic Text from the original Hebrew manuscripts.2) The Masoretic text takes the word for pierced in Psalm 22:16 (a clearcrucifixion Psalm) kaaru and changes the last letter from a vav to a yud. Thechange of letter changes the meaning from pierced my hands, and feet, to lion, asin as a lion they are at my hands and feet. The Septuagint has pierced from theoriginal Hebrew karu not kaari. According to the Dead Sea Scrolls dated about100 B.C.E., the Hebrew Word in verse 16 is kaaru pierced and not lion. Not onlythat but the Aramaic Peshitta also agrees with the Septuagint.3) In Isaiah 53 the Masoretic is missing a key word in verse 11. After the word"see", there should be another word "light" qualifying what the Suffering Servantsees. But the missing word LIGHT is found in the Septuagint, and the Dead SeaScrolls.4) In the Masoretic text Exodus 1:5 and Gen 46:27 states that 70 souls came toEgypt from Canaan. But the Septuagint and Dead Sea Scroll say 75 souls.5) In Genesis 10:24 the Masoretic text is missing generations. The NewTestament in Luke 3:36 inserts Canaan as does the Septuagint and the Dead SeaScrolls, leaving 3 Biblical witnesses.6) In Deuteronomy 32:8 the Masoretic text uses the term "children of Israel."The Septuagint uses the term "Cherubs Of Elohim" as do the Dead Sea Scrolls.7) In Isaiah 61:1 the Masoretic does not contain the phrase "recovery of sight tothe blind." Yet Luke 4:18 does as does the Septuagint.6

Hebraic Roots Bible8) In Psalm 40:6 the Masoretic text has purposely changed the phrase "aBODY you have prepared for me", as properly quoted again in Hebrews 10:5,and verified by the Septuagint and also the Dead Sea Scrolls to the phrase "youhave opened up my ears."The original names of our Creator, YAHWEH, and His Son, our Savior Yahshua, are also used throughout. The name YAHWEH or jwjy is in the original PaleoHebrew manuscripts 6,823 times. Almost every translation on earth, includingthe King James, takes out the Creator’s personal name and replaces it with thename “Lord”, a generic title that means 'Baal or Master'. Also, our Savior’s truegiven Hebrew name, Yahshua, which means "Yah is salvation" is changed to aGreek hybrid of Jesus, which is a poor transliteration from the Greek IE-Zeus.The English transliteration of Yahshua would be the equivalent to Yahoshua. There was no letter “J” in any language until the 16th century. So the Greek name"Jesus" would not be the name of our Savior. The third commandment strictly forbids taking the name (of) YAHWEH in vain.In vain literally means to 'change, falsify, or make common'. Taking the nameYAHWEH or Yahshua and changing it to 'Lord or Jesus' is definitely goingagainst the clear instruction of the third commandment. So we will use theoriginal, true Hebrew names of the Father YAHWEH and the Son Yahshuathroughout this Bible translation. We will also use the original Hebrew word, Elohim, instead of the incorrectlytranslated "god". God is the personal name of the Babylonian deity of fortune. Please see the note on Isa 65:11. We will keep all Hebrew titles for our HeavenlyFather such as El Shaddai, Adonai, El Elyon, etc exactly as they appear in theoriginal manuscripts. Also, the Catholic Church changed the original Hebrewbook order, so we have arranged the book order back into its original place. In the1st covenant we have the Torah, the prophets and the writings, which make up theTanach, and in the New Testament we have the 4 Good News messages and Acts, and then, the 7 epistles by the early congregational leaders, and then, the ApostlePaul's epistles ending with John's Revelation. This was the original book order. The epistle of Jacob, which was changed to James by the King has been restoredto the original name. The book order of Scripture is extremely important as if youwere reading a book you would not read chapter 8 before chapter 5I pray that this work, which has been blessed by YAHWEH Almighty will be asmuch of a blessing to each one reading it, as it was to me putting it together. And it was so.12 And the earth bore tender sprouts, the herb seeding seed according to itskind, and the fruit tree producing fruitaccording to its kind, whichever seed isin it. And Elohim saw that it was good.13 And there was evening, and therewas morning, day three.14 And Elohim said, Let light sourcesbe in the expanse of the heavens, todivide between the day and the night. And let them be for signs and forseasons4, and for days and years.15 And let them be for light sources inthe expanse of the heavens, to give lighton the earth. And it was so.16 And Elohim made the two greatlight sources the great light to rule theday, and the small light and the stars torule the night.17 And Elohim set them in theexpanse of the heavens, to give light onthe earth,18 and to rule over the day and overthe night; and to divide between thelight and the darkness. And Elohim sawthat it was good.19 And there was evening, and therewas morning, day four.20 And Elohim said, Let the watersswarm with swarmers having a livingsoul; and let the birds fly around, over1 In the beginning Elohim created theheavens and the earth;12 and the earth being without formand empty, and darkness on the face ofthe deep, and the Spirit of Elohimmoving gently on the face of the waters,3 then Elohim said, Let light be! Andthere was light.24 And Elohim saw the light, that itwas good, and Elohim separatedbetween the light and darkness. (Joh1:4)5 And Elohim called the light, Day.And He called the darkness, Night. Andthere was evening, and there wasmorning, day one.36 And Elohim said, Let an expanse bein the midst of the waters, and let it bedividing between the waters and thewaters.7 And Elohim made the expanse, andHe separated between the waters whichwere under the expanse and the waterswhich were above the expanse. Andit was so.10 And Elohim called the dry land,Earth. And He called the collection of1 “In the beginning” The first words ofScripture and also the Hebrew name forGenesis called “B'rasheet”. Elohim, ageneric term used for deity in Scriptureroughly 2,500 times. The word in Hebrew isplural and shows the duality of the Yahwehfamily at creation, Gen 1:26.2 Due to YHWH's great and awesome powerall He needs to do is to speak and creationoccurred, Joh 1:1-3, Mar 4:39-41.3 In Scripture evening precedes morning andthe new day begins and the old one ends atsunset, Lev 23:32, Deu 21:23.4 The Hebrew word here “moed” literallymeans the Holy Days of YHWH. The sunrules the day and the day begins at sunset, and the moon rules the month and the monthbegins at the conjunction of the moon. Inboth cases there is nothing to watch orvisually site not to entice Israel later toworship as the pagans did, Deu 4:19. Genesis 1the earth, on the face of the expanse ofthe heavens.21 And Elohim created the greatcrocodiles, and all that creeps, having aliving soul, which swarmed the waters, according to its kind; and every birdwith wing according to its kind. AndElohim saw that it was good.22 And Elohim blessed them, saying,Be fruitful and multiply, and fill thewaters in the seas; and let the birdsmultiply in the earth.23 And there was evening, and therewas morning, the fifth day.24 And Elohim said, Let the earthbring forth the soul of life according toits kind cattle, and creepers, and itsbeasts of the earth, according to itskind. And it was so.25 And Elohim made the beasts of theearth according to its kind, and cattleaccording to its kind, and all creepers ofthe ground according to its kind. AndElohim saw that it was good.26 And Elohim said, let Us makemankind in Our image, according toOur likeness1; and let them rule overthe fish of the sea, and over the birds ofthe heavens, and over the cattle, andover all the earth, and over all thecreepers creeping on the earth. (Gen9:6)27 And Elohim created the man inHis own image; in the image of ElohimHe created him. He created them maleand female.28 And Elohim blessed them; andElohim said to them, Be fruitful andmultiply, and fill the land, and subdueit, and rule over the fish of the seas, andover birds of the heavens, and over allbeasts creeping on the earth.229 And Elohim said, Behold, I havegiven you every plant seeding seedwhich is on the face of all the earth, andevery tree in which is the fruit of a treeseeding seed; it shall be food3 for you.30 And to every beast of the earth, and to all birds of the heavens, and toevery creeper on the earth which has init a living soul, every green plant is forfood. And it was so.31 And Elohim saw everything thatHe had made and behold, it was verygood. And there was evening, and therewas morning, the sixth day.Chapter 21 And the heavens and the earth werefinished, and all their host.2 And on the seventh day Elohimcompleted His work which He hadmade. And He rested on the seventhday from all His work which He hadmade.43 And Elohim blessed the seventh day2 Yahweh promised man “rulership” notownership over the earth. Nowhere inScripture is heaven ever promised as thereward of the saved, but always dominionover the earth, Psa 115:16, Isa 66:1. Also, wesee from the very beginning that thecommand given by Elohim was for man to“be fruitful and multiply”. Adam was toteach the Torah of YHWH to others butfailed. Yahshua who was the second Adamgave the same command in the NewCovenant, Joh 15:1-8.3 The Hebrew root for the word food can alsomean destruction and shows that if you allowthe physical things to control your life itcould destroy you.4 Clearly, the setting apart of the Sabbath dayas holy time goes back to creation week andwas there from the very beginning. TheHebrew word for “rested” is “Shabbat”.1 Man was made in the image of Yahweh as hehas 2 hands and feet and 2 eyes etc. However, to be made in His likeness, denotesto have the character that He has and thatdoes not come by instantaneous fiat but by alife-long commitment to conquer ones fallenhuman nature, to build patience and selfcontrol and to 100% fully submit to the spiritof YHWH and His Torah on how to love andworship Him and how to love our neighboras ourselves.9

Genesis 2and sanctified it, because He restedfrom all His work on it, which Elohimhad created to make.4 These are the generations of theheavens and of the earth when theywere created in the day of the makingof YAHWEH Elohim’s earth andheavens.5 And every shrub of the field was notyet on the earth, and every plant of thefield had not yet sprung up; forYAHWEH Elohim had not sent rain onthe earth, and there was no man to tillthe ground.16 And mist went up from the earthand watered the whole face of theground.7 And YAHWEH Elohim formed theman from the dust of the ground, andblew into his nostrils the breath of life;and the man became a living soul.28 And YAHWEH Elohim planted agarden in Eden to the east; and He putthe man whom He had formed there.9 And out of the ground YAHWEHElohim made to spring up every treethat is pleasant to the sight, and goodfor food. The Tree of Life was also inthe middle of the garden; also the Treeof the Knowledge of Good and Evil.10 And a river went out of Eden towater the garden, and from there itwas divided and became four heads.11 The name of the first was Pishon; itis the one surrounding all the land ofHavilah where gold is;12 the gold of that land is good; thereis bdellium gum resin, and the onyxstone.13 And the name of the second riveris Gihon. It is the one surrounding allthe land of Cush.14 And the name of the third river isHiddakel; it is the one going east ofAssyria. And the fourth river isEuphrates.15 And YAHWEH Elohim took theman and put him into the Garden ofEden, to work it and to keep it.316AndYAHWEHElohimcommanded the man, saying, Eatingyou may eat of every tree in the garden;17 but of the Tree of the Knowledge ofGood and Evil you may not eat, for inthe day that you eat of it, surely youshall die.418 And YAHWEH Elohim said, It isnot good, the man being alone. I willmake a helper suited to him.19 And YAHWEH Elohim formedevery animal of the field, and every birdof the heavens out of the ground. AndHe brought them to the man, to seewhat he would call it. And all which theman might call it, each living soul thatwas its name.20 And the man called names to allthe cattle, and to the birds of theheavens, and to every animal of thefield. But for a man, no helper suited tohim was found.21 And YAHWEH Elohim caused adeep sleep to fall on the man, and heslept. And He took one of his ribs, andclosed up the flesh underneath.22 And YAHWEH Elohim formed therib which He had taken from the maninto a woman, and brought her to theman.23 And the man said, This now at last1 It is interesting to note that Adam was not inthe garden yet.2 Man “became” a living soul, he does not“possess” a soul. A soul can die and is notimmortal as the soul that sins it will die, Eze18:4, Rom 6:23. Please see lesson 17 on theimmortal soul in the Bible on line course atwww.coyhwh.com in the study section.3 “Keep it”- the Hebrew literally means toguard and protect it.4 The tree of life signifies 100% faith and trustin YHWH unconditionally, as where the treeof the knowledge of good and evil representsman's free choice to make his own decisionapart from the word of YHWH.10

Genesis 2is bone from my bones, and flesh frommy flesh; For this shall be calledWoman, because out of man this hasbeen taken.24 Therefore, a man shall leave hisfather and his mother, and shall cleaveto his wife and they shall become one(echad, unified) flesh.125 And they were both naked, theman and his wife, and they were notashamed.1 And the serpent was cunning2 aboveevery beast of the field which YAHWEHElohim had made. And he said to thewoman, Is it so that Elohim has said,You shall not eat from any tree of thegarden?2 And the woman said to the serpent,of the fruit of the trees of the garden,We may eat,3 but of the fruit of the tree in themiddle of the garden, Elohim has said,You shall not eat of it, nor shall youtouch it, lest you die.4 And the serpent said to the woman, surely, you shall not die,5 for Elohim knows that in the dayyou eat of it, even your eyes shall beopened, and you shall be as Elohim, knowing good and evil.6 And the woman saw that the treewas good for food, and that it waspleasant to the eyes, and the tree wasdesirable to make one wise. And shetook of its fruit and ate; and she alsogave to her husband with her, and heate.7 And the eyes of both of them wereopened, and they knew that they werenaked. And they sewed leaves of the figtree, and made girdles for themselves.8 And they heard the sound ofYAHWEH Elohim walking up and downin the garden at the breeze of the day.And the man and his wife hidthemselves from the face of YAHWEHElohim in the middle of the trees of thegarden.9 And YAHWEH Elohim called to theman and said to him, Where are you?10 And he said, I have heard Yoursound in the garden, and I was afraid, for I am naked, and I hid myself.11 And He said, Who told you thatyou were naked? Have you eaten of thetree of which I commanded you not toeat?12 And the man said, The womanwhom You gave to be with me, she hasgiven to me of the tree, and I ate.13 And YAHWEH Elohim said to thewoman, What is this you have done? And the woman said, The serpentdeceived me, and I ate.14 And YAHWEH Elohim said to theserpent, Because you have done this, you are cursed above all beasts, andabove every animal of the field. Youshall go on your belly, and you shall eatdust all the days of your life.15 And I will put enmity between youand the woman, and between your seedand her Seed; He will bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.316 He said to the woman, I willgreatly increase your sorrow and yourconception; you shall bear sons insorrow, and your desire shall be toward1 The word “echad” is a Hebrew word thatalthough could denote the number one canalso denote (as in this case) a unified statebetween 2 things or people.2 The word for “naked” in Gen 2:25 and theword for “cunning” are derived from thesame root word in Hebrew.3 This is the very first messianic scripturepromising redemption directly after the sinof the man and woman. It is interesting thatthe prophecy is for a redeemer to come fromthe seed of a woman when most times inScripture legal genealogies come through aman. This is a hint to the virgin birth, Isa7:14.Chapter 311

(Mar 4:18-19, Isa5:6)19 By the sweat of your face you shalleat bread until your return to theground. For you have been taken out ofit; for you are dust, and to dust youshall return.2 (Job 7:21, Psa 146:4)20 And the man called the name ofhis wife, Eve; because she became themother of all living3.21 And YAHWEH Elohim made coatsof skin for the man and his wife, andclothed them4.22 And YAHWEH Elohim said,Behold! The man has become as one ofUs, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put forth his hand and also takefrom the Tree of Life, and eat, and liveforever,23 YAHWEH Elohim sent him out ofthe Garden of Eden to till the groundout of which he was taken.24 And He drove the man out. AndHe lodged the cherubs at the east of theGarden of Eden, and the flaming swordwhirling around to guard the way of theTree of Life.Chapter 41 And the man knew his wife Eve.
