Check-in procedures - JuniorAthletes’ Lounge-Spare wheels to the wheel-stop. You have to leave them at Team Wheel Station-Uniform & race gear check (name, country, logos, World Triathlon logo) – photos taken of eachuniform.Wearing other uniform during the race DSQ-Body marking check (both arms, both legs)-Timing chip distribution (1 for the ankle )-Approval for the addition/modification of any equipment to the bike MUST beobtained from the Head Referee up to 10 minutes after the end of the athletes’ briefing-Mechanic service available12

Run Penalty Box-For infringements in Run1, T1, Bike, T2 and Run2 Infringements will be served in Run-Location:-Information: White board to show race numbers and letters to indicate violations-(Athletes need to read the board – coaches are advised to check and inform their athletes)-Procedure: 10 seconds time penalty served on any lap of the runsee the mapPenalties must be posted prior to the last lap on the run. Any penalties following that point will beserved on the spot.Athletes have the option to decide whether to stop at the penalty box and serve the penalty orcontinue to the finish. Not stopping will result in DSQ on crossing the finish line. The athletemay then appeal the penalty. Evidence will only be made available if anappeal is filed.38
Run Penalty BoxRule interpretation-Mount after the mount line: An athlete’s foot must contact the ground past the mount line,before the athlete mounts the bike. If this contact doesn’t occur, it is considered aninfringement of the rules (M).-Dismount before the dismount line: An athlete’s foot must contact the ground before thedismount line after the athlete dismounts the bike. If this contact doesn’t occur, it isconsidered an infringement of the rules (D).-Discharge or store your equipment inside your designated area: Leaving the equipment(swim cap, goggles, helmet, etc.) in the designated box. If leaving the equipment outside thebox, it is considered an infringement of the rules (E).39

Ambush Marketing Rules-For ceremony awards, please dress up with race uniform (or country uniform)Ambush marketing rules apply.-Race caps/visors are allowed at the podium-Please follow the Ambush marketing rules. Ambush marketing is defined as:“Deliberately using the opportunity of live television and media photographers to acquireadditional exposure for your sponsor product, apparel or brand.”-44The consequence for this behavior is: The athlete will immediately forfeit their prize moneyfor that event.
Coaches AreaAccreditation-All coaches have to collect accreditation to be able to enter the venue.-Only Coaches who have been registered from their NF into the World Triathlon onlinesystem are entitled for an accreditationCoaches’ areas45-Behind Penalty box-Between transition and bike course
Medical procedures-Only LOC Medical Staff area allowed in the medical area.-The NF accredited doctor is allowed in the medical area only when an athlete from theircountry is in the area.46

Relay Zone-Prior to the relay exchange, the athletes will wait in the recovery area until the momentwhen the Technical official tells them to enter the relay zone.-It is athletes’ responsibility to be there.-The relay exchange from one team member to another will take place inside the “RelayZone”-The relay exchange is completed by the incoming athlete, using their hand to contactthe body of the outgoing athlete within the relay zone-If the contact occurs unintentionally outside the relay zone, the team will get a 10 secondpenalty.-If the contact occurs intentionally outside the relay zone or not completed, the team will beDSQ.-Keep both feet behind the relay line73
