Dear Readers,For eight weeks, I’ve had the absolutepleasure to undertake a poetry journey withSkeels-Mathews Center facilitated by theWick Poetry Center at Kent State University.We’ve learned in poetry that you can beanything. We’ve learned in poetry thatthere is always a recipe for a feeling. We’ve learned in poetry that there isroom to express yourself. We’ve learned in poetry that there is always achance to try something new. However, the best way to describe poetryat its fullest is through reading these poems created by Skeels-Mathewsstudents and teachers with the intention to share their thoughts of theworld with you. Readers, these poems are the result of a writing journeyfueled by creativity, passion, and ideas, and we’d be more than happy toshare them with you.The tremendous support from the Skeels-Mathew staff has made thisjourney possible.
