Among our family members there is so much talent and gifts and I look forward with the new year onthe horizon to have all them display and give to the revival we are in the middle of for the continued growthand love to be shared by all.One such member in our community is a song writer and I recently heard some of his music and lyricshe has written and I wanted to share them with you:Submitted by Michael SpauldingRoots and WingsFrom the day I became a father,I knew life wasn't gonna be easy,There'd be up all nights and school yard fights, Romance and heartbreak in between,But one thing I was sure of,Was the lessons that I could teach,Like hard work, charity, selflessness and honesty, I gave my children roots and wings,Chorus:Roots that keep them firmly on the ground,And wings to take them,Wherever life may abound,Faith in God and sticking up for what you believe, I gave my children roots and wings.I taught then it's ok to be wrong,And a mistake is a lesson that is learned, Sometimes I know I was little hard,But I wanted give them roots and wings to go far,REPEAT CHORUS:I pray one day their wildest dreams come true,Cause the day they were born my wildest dreams were too,So I gave them, REPEAT CHORUS:TAG:Faith in God and sticking up for the weak,Are just a few of the roots and wings, Roots and wings, Wings,Roots and wings.GGYBPK
