A date in February wasselected, as Margaritas can be enjoyed any time of the year. There are allkinds of flavors, from strawberry and peach to mango and berry, and muchmore. Almost any fruit you can imagine can be used to make the perfectMexican Margarita.Margaritas are comprised of tequila, citrus or other fruits, and sugar. It is themost popular alcoholic beverage that uses Tequila. Margaritas are pouredover ice, or can be put through a blender to make frozen margaritas.Historically, Margaritas have been around since the 1930s and 1940s. Theactual origin and creator is unknown. Frozen Margaritas came to the scene inthe 1970s.Todd McCalla, the heated of this day, started it to “celebrate Margaritas, plainand simple”.

Born to parents who were former slaves, hespent his childhood working in the Kentucky coal mines andenrolled in high school at age twenty. He graduated withintwo years and later went on to earn a Ph.D. from Harvard.The scholar was disturbed to find in his studies that historybooks largely ignored the black American population andwhen blacks did figure into the picture, it was generally inways that reflected the inferior social position they wereassigned at the time.Woodson, always one to act on his ambitions, decided totake on the challenge of writing black Americans into thenation's history. He established the Association for the Studyof Negro Life and History (now called the Association for theStudy of Afro-American Life and History) in 1915, and a yearlater founded the widely respected Journal of Negro History.In 1926, he launched Negro History Week as an initiative tobring national attention to the contributions of black peoplethroughout American history.I have a dream.Black History Month is a month set aside to learn, honor,and celebrate the achievements of black men andwomen throughout history. Each year a different themeis chosen to highlight this event. The theme for 2011was African Americans and the Civil War.Over the course of the war, the four million people ofAfrican descent in the United States proved Douglassright. Free and enslaved blacks rallied around the Unionflag in the cause of freedom. Woodson and minister Jesse E.
