The main living room will be about maintaining the drama while keeping the room clean and simple as wellas cozy, creating a grand fireplace and a lighting scape that will help make the ceiling not seem overwhelming. For the fireplace, the client is open to a linear marble slab look or a stepped white limestone look as long asthe lines are clean and modern. Main kitchen will be white cabinets with a traditional take on modern, with classic shapres and clean lines.The built-in eating area might be switched to non built-in table and chairs for more flexibility in the future. For the main kitchen, the island should be modern and minimal (possibly a large simple marble block with acantilevered raised bar top in wood). The hood fan will be minimal (possibly hidden within the cabinetry). Buttler’s kitchen will be more modern with a darker flat panel wood look, thick counters in a grey/whitecolour and large, more industrial sized appliances. This room is modern yet feels more like a classic kitchenwith some possible historical details. Sitting room is meant to be a more character-driven room with millwork treatments as well as a more ornateor interesting marble fireplace. The wine coolers will act as a divider between this space with floor-to-ceiling bottle holders Home office is to be floor-to-ceiling millwork (wood or paint-grade) with a luxe, masculine vibe. Furnitureand cabinetry will reflect a more traditional side of modern. Master bedroom is to be bright and airy while still feeling cozy. This space could have more elements thatare ornate/traditional, mixed with clean modern lines. Details will be not overly feminine with more classicpieces like a four-poster cast iron bed (for example). Master dressing & lounge space will be mostly open storage space with some closed storage for dust-freezones. Lounge furniture and accent lighting will make for a relaxing but elegant space. The make-up area will have an island with a built-in beauty station with mirror and lighting. The sun deck offof the master closet will have a feature door, possibly with an arch and black-lined frame. Master bathroom will be open and clean with large windows, this space will be mostly marble with twoseparate sink, and a feature bath center of the room. Vanity counters will be marble with chrome plumbingfixtures. Master shower will have 2 shower heads, body jets as well as steam and will include a bench and aline drain for a more streamlined look. Boys bathroom will be a mix of timeless and modern – something for them to grow into. Possibly a darkerwood, flat panel look for cabinetry, with floating vanities. Basement family zone to be kept more cost-effective and simple while durable and modern. Theatre shouldhave carpet and deep lounging sofas. Bar should be moved from Rec Room area into the theatre.
