The goal of this therapy retreat is to feel rejuvenatedand armed with tools and knowledge to be helpful in your work with clients.Workshop Description:This advanced retreat-style workshop will teachspecialized topics such as EMDR & TherapeuticWriting, Polyvagal Theory (Regulation from theinside out), “The Future Self” that will includeMotivational Interviewing & a Mindful Movie,Sandtray, and Innovative Expressive DreamExploration. This workshop will teach PreparationPhase strategies to prepare for the complexities oftreating trauma, as well as strategies for theDesensitization Phase andFuture Template for EMDR.This retreat is a two-foldexperience.Participantswill learn new methods ofworking with clients, as wellas to engage in a Practicumaround their own traumatichistory.You will leave this retreat with a creative toolbox oftips, and a clear understanding of how important itis tailor your work with clients with the use ofspecialized techniques and the confidence andcompetence needed to make a difference in thelives of many.Each day has been carefully planned to allow timefor learning, hands on experiential learning, andself-reflection (your ownprocess of healing).You will also come homewith a Toolbox of CreativeIntervention to use in allPhases of EMDR.
