FREE VERSION-GRAYSCALEPrefaceThe Quran has always intrigued me. Reading the Verses of Quran and realizing that TheGod of this whole universe and creation is communicating with us through His Words isquite overwhelming.Right from the early years I read multiple translations of the Quran. My favorite was theone by Marmaduke Pickthall. And now the best translation is by Saheeh Internationalwhich conveys the meanings of the Quran truer to the Arabic text than the others. AlsoThe Study Quran commentary published recently is quite helpful although the translationis a little weak and you have to be careful with the interpretations. My search for a good resource or a dictionary for the Quranic Words has beendisappointing. The books available are either too daunting for a layperson to read or theformat and layout is in very poor quality. This book has been compiled with the aim to provide concise and relevant information inan easily readable format which will appeal to a wide audience. This compilation is anessential resource for memorizing the meanings of the Words of the Quran. This book is unique in the sense that it is the first and the only compilation availablewhich has words similar in meanings grouped together in root categories withpronunciations, frequencies, clear demarcation of verbs, proper nouns and Names of TheGod given in one list.I plan to write a new book based on the Quran which God willing I will start soon. Alsothis book will be updated and revised regularly to keep it error free.Abrar KhanOctober 2017http://quranicwords.com!7

FREE VERSION-GRAYSCALEAbout the BookThis book is meant for the new generation of the Muslims worldwide, new converts toIslam, particularly the Muslims in west and even non-muslims interested in the Quran. The book will prove quite useful to the students and teaching academies. There are about 77500 words in the Quran which are reduced to around 15000 wordsafter excluding repetitions and further reduced to less than 5000 basic words afterremoving different conjugations of the same word. The word list in this compilationcomprises of these Basic Words. The main focus of the book is to memorize the meanings of the Words of Quran in an easyand quickest possible way. However it can be used as a reference too.The layout of the book has been kept bright and vibrant with lot of color highlights whichaid in better retention of the words. The word lists are grouped according to the roots which are arranged alphabetically insections. Section 1 includes mostly high frequency words which form the bulk of words inthe Quran. These include mostly conjunctions, prepositions, pronouns and other wordswithout roots. The last section has all the proper nouns without roots. This book does not include any sections on grammar which can be learned from otherresources after completing this book. Learning Arabic grammar at start can be quitedaunting for a beginner and is a frequent cause of discouragement. Thus only a simplelexical classification is given in this list. The meanings of the words are mostly contextual depending on their usage in the versesand one word can have multiple meanings. More common meanings are included firstfollowed by the lesser common ones. All the authentically accepted Names of The God in the Quran (Asma-ul-Husna) whichnumber around 80 are highlighted in green.(*Note that the frequencies of words may vary with different search analytics)http://quranicwords.com!8

FREE VERSION-GRAYSCALEHow to use this BookSome useful tipsAlthough the book is organized alphabetically in sections, it can be read from any page atrandom. A good idea is to start with the last section which is the easiest to go through andget a feel of the book. In contrast the first section has the toughest words. It is advised to learn the high frequency words first (highlighted in orange). And also theadjacent words with related meanings in the root group. This will aid in memorization andmake it easy to cover more words quickly.Once the high frequency words (1000 in number) are covered, you can move on to next500 words highlighted in yellow, then the ones in light yellow and so on.The words can be learned section wise but its a good idea to go through the whole list inchunks of 100s or 500s using the method above. It is worthwhile to put more stress on learning the meanings of the words instead of rootsor parts of speech.A word to word translation of the Quran will be helpful later on in learning the variousconjugations of the words.http://quranicwords.com!9
