Exciting Rover News! The CastIn this, Rover’s Tenth Anniversary Season, we bringyou exciting news about our growth here in Plano! Forthe past three years, we have been officing at theArtCentre of Plano, where we were fortunate enough tobe able to use the main art gallery and other rooms forour rehearsals, meetings, and classes.Becca.Morgan JustissIzzy.Taylor McMillanHowie.Matt GuntherNat.Margaret LymanJason.Barret LewisWhile it’s been a great space for us to grow and itprovided us some wonderful exposure in the downtownarea, it’s sometimes difficult to dance (literally!) aroundsculptures and other three-dimensional artwork, and asthe ArtCentre continues to fulfill its mission of nurturingarts groups, their calendar is becoming increasinglyfilled up.The Production StaffAlso during this time, both Haggard Property Group and Las Brisas Propertieshave graciously provided us with space to build our sets, free of charge, butboth of this generous companies have now rented the spaces we were using. For several months now, Rover’s Board of Directors has been looking atconsolidating our office/rehearsal space with our scene shop and storage. So here’s our news: WE’VE MOVED!!! Rover Dramawerks is now housed ina warehouse facility located at 521 J Place, Suite 629, just about a mile southof downtown Plano! Other than performances, which will continue to be righthere at the Cox Building Playhouse and Courtyard Theater, our entireoperation is now in a single location.for the first time since forming thetheatre around my kitchen table, rehearsing in my living room, and buildingsets in my garage!Director .Rick TumanAssistant Director/Stage Manager. .Jan TomsProducers . . .Lisa Devine, Jason RiceSet Designer.Clint Alan RayCostume Designer. . .Paul McKenzieLighting Designer. . .Scott RowSound Designer.Jason RiceProperties Designer. . . .Kelly WilliamsLight and Sound Board Operator.Cameron TomsSet Construction/Move-in.Clint Alan RayLisa Devine, Ron Eubanks, Taryn Grisz, Emiryn GuntherLinda Moore, Kevin Owen, Nic Pfost, Jason RiceScott Row, Jim Sadowski, Patsy Sadowski, Ana SanchezBarry Schneider, James Stroman, Dave TenneyCameron Toms, Jan Toms, Rick Tuman, Kelly Williams, castProgram/Publicity. .Carol M. Weneed to build some walls to better utilize the space. We need shelving. Weneed clothing and shoe racks so we can organize our costumes.Rabbit Hole was commissioned by South Coast Repertory (Martin Benson,Artistic Director; David Emmes, Producing Artistic Director) in Costa Mesa, CAAll of this costs money, and that’s something non-profit theatre companiesdon’t have a lot of - even less so in this economy. Won’t you please make adonation to Rover Dramawerks TODAY so that we can make our new homethe perfect place to create theatre? Right now, we have a big open space, which means we can’t rehearse and build sets at the same time. Our propsline the wall where we’re rehearsing rather than having a special place to live.Produced by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Services, Inc.Our goal during Rabbit Hole is to raise 2,500 to use to make our new spacehome. Please help us. Your donation is tax deductible, and you’ll join the listof wonderful folks on the opposite page!Thank you in advance for your valuable support!Sincerely,Carol M.
