The company is deploying a Calix GPON solution with ADC’s OmniReach fiber distribution hubs. Cameron Communications’ fiber optic network offers Grand Lake residents digital television withmore than 150 channels, broadband Internet connectionswith speeds up to 3 Mbps, and enhanced voice services.In its first foray into FTTP, RT Communications (www.rtcom.net) installed a GPON network using Telstrat’sInteleflex Broadband Loop Carrier Platform and GPONoptical line terminals. The Worland, Wyoming-basedILEC will provide its customers with voice and data services over fiber.Shenandoah Telecommunications Company (www.shentel.com) in Edinburg, Virginia has entered into anexclusive agreement with RCMS/Legacy Custom Homesto build an advanced fiber optic network for Legacy’snewest community, Tackley Mill in Ranson, West Virginia. Shentel will provide local and long distance telephoneservice, digital cable TV, high-speed Internet access, andsecurity monitoring to this new community.SureWest (www.surewest.com), an IPTV and FTTPpioneer in Roseville, California, announced that its fiberto-the-premise customers increased by 28 percent during 2005, and that the demand for subscribed revenuegenerating products from those customers increased by30 percent.
