MORTON COUNTY COMMISSION REGULAR MEETINGSeptember 8, 2016The Morton County Commission Regular Meeting was called to order on September 8, 2016 at 5:30 PMby Chairman Schulz at the Morton County Courthouse, 210 Second Avenue NW, Mandan, North Dakota.Others present were Commissioners Zachmeier, Boehm, Leingang and Strinden, Auditor Rhone, StatesAttorney Koppy and Assistant States Attorney Grosinger. Strinden moved and Boehm seconded to approve bills and payroll. All voting aye, motion carried.Leingang moved and Strinden seconded to approve abatement #4876. All voting aye, motion carried.Strinden moved and Boehm seconded to approve the 4-H week proclamation. All voting aye motioncarried.Strinden moved and Zachmeier seconded to authorize the Chairman to sign a letter expressing theCommission’s concurrence with the Morton County Water Board regarding the Double Ditch bankstabilization project. All voting aye motion carried.Strinden moved and Boehm seconded to reappoint Ken Geiger, Randy Graner and Jamie Wetsch to theMorton County Park Board to 3 year terms expiring 6/30/19. All voting aye, motion carried.Boehm moved and Strinden seconded to reappoint Tim Duppong to a 5 year term on the Morton CountyHousing Authority, expiring 12/31/2020. All voting aye, motion carried.Leingang moved and Boehm seconded to reappoint Kevin Schmidt and Roger Griffin to 4 year terms onthe Morton County Weed Board, expiring 7/31/2020. All voting aye, motion carried.Zachmeier moved and Leingang seconded to reappoint Del Wetsch to a 3 year term on the MortonCounty Social Service Board, expiring 6/30/2019. Allvoting aye, motion carried.Zachmeier moved and Boehm seconded that the meeting recess and immediately reconvene in executivesession under the authority of § 44-04-18.1 & 44-04-19.2 for discussion of confidential medical records.Voting aye: Zachmeier, Boehm, Strinden, Leingang & Schulz. Motion carried.The executive session began at 6:00 PM and was attended by Commissioners Zachemeier, Strinden,Bohm, Leingang and Schulz. Also in attendance were Auditor Rhone, Assistant States AttorneyGrosinger, Human Resources Director Bent, Duane Snider and Toni Snider.The executive session was adjourned at 6:08 PM.The Morton County Commission reconvened with all members present at 6:09 PM.Strinden moved and Leingang seconded to grant a 90 day critical care leave request for Toni Snidereffective September 2, 2016. Voting aye: Strinden, Leingang, Boehm, Zachmeier and Schulz.
