You also receive an authorization number the first time you place an orderand can use it when placing future orders under a two-year price level.The volume discount option incorporates product pools and points to determine eligibility. Licensed productsare grouped into three separate product pools; applications pool, systems pool, and server pool. Product poolsgroup similar Microsoft licensed products to achieve greater volume pricing discounts. The applications poolincludes products such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio , and the Microsoft VisualStudio 2010 development system. The systems pool contains Windows operating system upgrades such asWindows 7 Professional Upgrade. Examples of products offered within the server pool include the WindowsSQL Server Standard Edition and Microsoft Exchange Server.Each licensed product carries a point value. For example, the Office Professional Edition is worth four (4) pointswith Software Assurance and Windows Server 2008 is worth twenty (20) points with Software Assurance. TheSoftware Assurance component of License & Software Assurance is worth one half the total point value of its6
