If an emergency clinical situation exists outside of ahospital emergency room, please contact NIA Magellanimmediately with the appropriate clinical information for anexpedited review.When is priorauthorizationrequired?Prior authorization is required for outpatient, non-emergentMR, CT, PET, CCTA, Nuclear Cardiology/MPI,Echocardiography and Stress Echo procedures. Orwill there be twocards?What is an OCR FaxCoversheet?The Ambetter from CeltiCare Health Member ID card will notcontain any NIA Magellan identifying information on it. Noadditional card will be issued from NIA Magellan.By utilizing Optical Character Recognition technology, NIAMagellan can automatically attach incoming clinical faxes tothe appropriate case in our clinical system.
