The focusis on alterations in physiologic function as manifestations of disease with attention todifferences in children, adults and older adults. Emphasis is placed on relating signs,symptoms and laboratory findings of common alterations and understanding theappropriate pharmacologic management.4

The courseexamines the philosophies of complementary and alternative medicine through theapplications of critical thinking using basic understanding of the functions of the humanbody.
