OverviewUPS R5000 overviewThe HP UPS R5000 features a 3U rackmount design and offers power protection for loads up to 5000VA/4500 W. Features include: 3U UPS height, 3U ERM height ERM technology that uses advanced battery management to increase battery service life, optimizerecharge time, and provide a warning before the end of useful battery life Extended runtime with up to four ERMs per UPS Easily replaceable battery modules that simplify maintenance Emergency shutdown control through the REPO port HP UPS Network Module network connectivity with monitoring and control Firmware that is service upgradeable through the standard DB-9 communication port Backed by worldwide agency approvalsTo benefit from the latest product enhancements, update to the latest versions of UPS firmware and software.NOTE: To download the latest versions of UPS firmware and software, see the HP nt safety informationWARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, only connect unit input to a circuit provided with branchcircuit overcurrent protection for 40 A rating in accordance with the National Electric Code,ANSI/NFPA 70.Disconnect the charging source prior to connecting or disconnecting battery terminals.Determine if the battery is inadvertently grounded. If inadvertently grounded, remove the sourcefrom the ground.WARNING: Contact with any part of a grounded battery can result in electrical shock.
