Assistant Program DirectorJob SummaryUnder the direction of the Nurse Anesthesia Program Director, theAssistant Program Director assists with overall leadership related to thenurse anesthesia program and completes assigned teaching. ServingUniversity of Saint Francis (USF) students and the USF community isparamount. To provide a consistent quality experience across theuniversity, the USF Way, outlined in the Employee Handbook, is used todescribe service expectations for all employees.Your Mission as Assistant Program Director:Strive to exceed the duties of an administrator and provide a frameworkthat will effectively take students from textbook, to practice, to clinicalsuccess. The Assistant Program Director serves as a role model tofaculty and students in both their academic and professional domains.This position will be 25% administrative; 75% teaching.Duties and Responsibilities:See job requisition below for full position description and requirements Assist Program Director in leading curriculum development,implementation, and evaluation. Assist in maintaining programmatic accreditation status andeffectively communicate programmatic issues to Program Director. Analyze program assessment data for programmatic anddepartmental improvement. Collaborate in the development and implementation of departmentalmission and vision and contribute to the annual program action plan. Provide effective leadership for the department and faculty and makerecommendations to the Program Director regarding theappointment, promotion, retention, and dismissal of program faculty. Serve as primary coordinator of clinical rotation and practicumschedules. Provide for the establishment, monitoring, and evaluation of clinicalrotation sites including the supervision and guidance for other facultymembers involved in these duties. Contribute to University success through consistently demonstratingbehaviors and attitudes congruent with the mission of the University,the Franciscan Values, and the USF Way.Qualifications and Experience:To provide an exceptional education to our students, the AssistantProgram Director must possess a Doctorate (Ph.D., DNP, or DNAP)from an accredited institution, an Indiana RN license or eligibility forlicensure, and a current certification as a Certified Registered NurseAnesthetist (CRNA). T hree (3) years of clinical experience as a CRNA required. Experience as an Assistant Program Director, faculty, or clinicalcoordinator in a nurse anesthesia program preferred. Knowledge of the Council on Accreditation of Nurse AnesthesiaEducational Programs policies and procedures preferred.
