Website requirements checklistThis checklist sets out how Departments might meet publication scheme anddisclosure log requirements under the Right to Information Act 2009 (RTI Act)and Ministerial Guidelines made pursuant to the Act. The checklist alsocontains guidance on how Departments might also meet the requirements ofInformation Privacy Principle (IPP) 2 and 5 under the Information Privacy Act2009 (IP Act).NOTE: When developing the relevant web content the checklist should be used withreference to the relevant sections of the RTI and IP Acts and the ‘Ministerial Guidelines:Operation of Publication Schemes and Disclosure Logs Under section 21(3) andsections 78, 78A and 78B of the Right to Information Act 2009’ located ct/publication-schemes

Requirement for a publication schemeUnder section 21 of the RTI Act 1, an agency must publish a publication schemesetting out the classes of information the agency has available and terms onwhich it will make the information available. Requirement for a disclosure logA disclosure log makes information disclosed to an applicant under the RTIAct available to a wider public audience. Under section 78B of the RTI Act,an agency maintaining a disclosure log must ensure it complies with theguidelines as published by the Minister.Disclosure LogsCriteriaYNIs there a disclosure logon the website?
