HeldThis is a FREE 12-week evidence-based course specifically for family members and friends of individuals diagnosed withmental illness and is sponsored by the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). Although the course is not diagnosis-specific, it covers information about Schizophrenia, major depression, bipolar disorder, panic disorder, borderline personality disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder. The curriculum includes: symptomsand treatments of mental illness, brain biology, medications, communication skills, problem solving workshop, copingskills, self- care, recovery and rehabilitation and advocacy strategies. Classes are taught by trained family members in asupportive non-judgmental environment. Join other families just like yours who have gained insight, understanding, andempowerment from this program.
