As Avatar leaders we commit to maintaining the highest level of safety and security for ourcustomers and providing a safe work environment for all Avatar employees, We are committed to continuousimprovement in the Avatar operation by evaluating, investigating, analyzing, assessing and mitigatinghazards on a continuous basis. Safety and Security of the Avatar operation are priority #1.To ensure this happens, we recognize that an effective Safety Management System (SMS) is vital to thesuccess of Avatar Airlines. We are committed to providing the necessary resources for the continualimplementation of our SMS; 14 CFR 5.21(a)(3). This will allow us to continue to improve the level of safetyand security throughout Avatar Airlines. The Avatar Director of Safety has authority to facilitate and managethe Avatar Safety Management System.Safety objectives will be established, published and made available to all Avatar employees. The safetyobjectives will be posted on the Avatar Intranet, accessible to all employees. Safety objectives will be acontinuous focus as they are monitored, measured, and tracked to ensure that we meet these objectives.We believe responding to an emergency is the highest priority of management and employees. TheEmergency Response Plan (ERP) serves as an overall policy and set of procedures to ensure that theairline's response to a catastrophic event is expeditious, intelligent and compassionate. We periodicallyexercise the plan to ensure the plan continues to provide a safe transition from normal to emergencyoperations, 14 CFR 5.21(a)(6).We will not tolerate intentional at-risk actions or behaviors at Avatar Airlines. All employees are personallyresponsible and accountable for performing their duties safely and in compliance with laws, regulations andcompany policy. Activities involving disregard of these items will be subject to disciplinary action. We believethis is a necessary element of a Just Culture, 14 CFR 5.21(a)(5).Every employee must continuously be aware of hazards that have the potential to degrade the level ofsafety and security for our employees and our passengers. It is the duty of all employees to report hazardseither directly to management or through reporting tools available to Avatar employees, 14 CFR 5.21(a)(4).At Avatar, no one will allow any operation to proceed unless he or she is certain it can be carried outwith Safety and Security. FLIGHT ATTENDANT TRAINING MANUALavatar airlines3PREFACEPR.2Revision: A01-Apr-2021ADOCUMENTATIONIn accordance with regulation, Avatar Airlines maintains a Technical Documentation management system that controlsboth Company generated publications, and other controlled documents such as manufacturer manuals, governmentpublications, drawings, etc. The system controls the approval, publication, distribution, revision and any associatedprocesses to assure current and accurate information availability to the persons who need it. The system is detailed inCompany Manual System (CMS). Avatar Airlines manuals as a collective group define an interrelated system ofpolicies and procedures. So information required by any one individual may be found in various individual manuals.3.1 Document RevisionsManual revisions may be required due to regulatory changes, self-disclosures, technology changes, operationalchanges, organizational changes, or any of a multitude of factors. It is important that during the revision process all ofthe requirements of the Publication Procedures Manual (PPM) are followed to assure a coordinated outcome compliantwith regulation and the Operations Specifications, that there are no unintended consequences, and that any interfacesare addressed.For further detail refer to PPM Chapter 5 - Document Revision3.2 Document Distribution14 CFR 121.133(a), 121.133(b)The Technical Publications department maintains a master copy of all company, aircraft, engine, manufacturer, andother manuals necessary to support the airline operation. Includedare general guidance, curriculum, curriculum segments, modules and elements which ensure that Flight Attendants aretrained and qualified for operations under Part 121 of the Code of Federal Regulations and the FAA issued OperationsSpecifications.Avatar Airlines will maintain the facilities and personnel required to carry out the training prescribed in this manual, andwill maintain the records necessary to demonstrate compliance with training and regulatory requirements.This manual contains the FAA approved Flight Attendant Training Program, and provides detailed guidance for thetraining of all Avatar Airlines Flight Attendants. It will be the responsibility of each manual holder to familiarizethemselves with the contents of this manual and keep their personal manual up-to-date as revisions are furnished.The Avatar Airlines Flight Attendant Training Program is an FAA approved document. FAA approval is documented byuse of the approval stamp on each of the List of Effective Pages. Avatar Airlines training forms are included in Chapter11 of this manual. Training forms may not be changed or modified without specific FAA approval in accordance with theprocedures outlined in this manual.The Flight Attendant Training Program is revised by means of a revision to this manual. Revisions are generated byAvatar Airlines Technical Publications and submitted to the assigned Flight Standards District Office (FSDO) forapproval. Any changes recommended by the FAA will be incorporated by the Manager of Inflight Safety and are subjectto 14 CFR 121.405(e).Avatar Airlines will obtain FAA approval for any training program required for air carrier operations. FAA approval will bebased upon the substance of the proposed program, methods and procedures, related courseware, available trainingaids, and instructor qualifications. While the FAA in this process is evaluating courseware, it is not required to beapproved by the Administrator.Avatar Airlines will submit to the FSDO any required documents, outlines, training programs, or revisions meeting therequirements of 14 CFR Part 121, Subpart N to ensure each Flight Attendant is trained to perform the assigned duties.After such approval, in writing, from the Administrator is obtained, Avatar Airlines may conduct the training.2TRAINING OVERVIEW14 CFR 121.401(a)(2), 121.401(a)(3)The Flight Attendant Training Program was developed to comply with Code of Federal Regulations and provides ameans of stating policies, procedures and training requirements concerning cabin personnel. The Flight AttendantTraining Program also provides training personnel the necessary information, training material, examinations, formsand instructions to guide and assist them in the proper performance of their duties.This manual complies with guidelines and training requirements as set forth in CFR Part 121 and appropriate subparts,as well as guidance from the 8900.1.Avatar Airlines will provide and keep current, for each airplane type, the appropriate training materials, examinationsand forms, and instructions and procedures for conducting all required training and checks.Avatar Airlines Flight Attendants will receive training utilizing the modules contained in this approved training program.3TRAINING OBJECTIVES14 CFR 121.433(a)The Flight Attendant Training Program is designed to train Avatar Airlines Flight Attendants in the appropriate aspectsof Avatar Airlines flight operations. The objective is to ensure that Avatar Airlines Flight Attendants will have theknowledge necessary to execute appropriate airline operations. No one shall serve as a Avatar Airlines Flight Attendantunless they have satisfactorily passed all aspects and elements of this training course.

FLIGHT ATTENDANT TRAINING MANUALavatar airlines4CHAPTER 1 - THE ROLE OF INFLIGHT TRAINING1.2Revision: A01-Apr-2021AMANUAL OWNERSHIP AND RESPONSIBILITYThe Director of Flight Operations is responsible for the quality of the Flight Attendant Training Program and the InflightSafety Training Manual. The Director of Flight Operations, and the Manager of Inflight Safety as his designee have theprimary responsibility for the development and content of the Inflight Safety Training Manual. This delegation ofauthority will be accomplished in writing. The Manager Inflight Safety will coordinate with the Manager of TechnicalPublications to ensure the Inflight Safety Training Manual is administered in accordance with the Avatar Airlinesmanual system.It shall be the responsibility of the Manager of Inflight Safety to distribute the Flight Attendant Training Program andensure compliance with current Code of Federal Regulations. The Manager of Inflight Safety will be responsible toensure all issued Inflight Safety Training Manual revisions are properly approved and issued.5MANUAL AND TRAINING STRUCTUREThe training events in this manual are divided into curricula, curriculum segments, modules and elements. Thecurricula segments follow a normal and logical training flow, and instructors are required to follow curriculum segment,module and element guidance to ensure standardized instruction. Modules may be included in more than onecurriculum segment and that training module will be placed in that curriculum segment. The Introduction Section of thismanual contains guidance applicable to all training programs contained in this manual.6MANAGEMENT ADMINISTRATION14 CFR 121.401(c)Inflight Safety Training Instructors are authorized to administer Competency/Proficiency Checks. They must completethe training module for the Inflight Safety Training Instructor curriculum segment. Check Flight Attendant Inflight Safetymust complete Check Flight Attendant Inflight Safety training before giving any checks required by this manual.
