Common Grading Scale in IranGradeSuggested U.S. BCDF Grading scales are usually not provided with transcripts from Iran so GPA shouldbe converted using this scale. The minimum passing grade for a subject credit unit is 10 in undergraduateprograms, 12 in graduate programs and 14 in Ph.D. programs. A minimum overall GPA of 12 in undergraduate programs and 14 in graduateprograms is required.

Conditional AcceptanceInformationProcedure Graduate programs may issue letters ofconditional acceptance to INTERNATIONAL,SPONSORED applicants who do not meetminimum admission requirements. Applicants generally lackTOEFL/Academic IELTS scores andGRE/GMAT scores. To obtain funding from their sponsornecessary for them to pursue Englishtraining in the U.S., they are required toprovide a conditional letter of acceptanceto their sponsor.1.2.3.4.5.6.Interested applicants submit Grad Studiesapplication and notify program they areinterested in conditional acceptance.Program reviews the application.If the program is interested in offeringconditional acceptance, the programrequests a credential evaluation from GradStudies Office.Graduate Admission Advisor reviewscredentials (i.e. institution accreditation,degree equivalency and GPA) and notifiesprogram of applicant’s eligibility.Program issues conditional letter ofacceptance and sends a copy to GradAdmission Advisor and Jillian Collins(collinsjk@missouri.edu).Final acceptance should be sent to GradAdmission Advisor once applicant meetsprogram and University minimum admissionrequirements.

Sample Conditional Acceptance Notify the applicant that they have beenCONDITIONALLY ACCEPTED in the letter. List conditions of acceptance including theprogram’s minimum TOEFL and AcademicIELTS scores the applicant must achieve. Note that once conditions are met theapplicant will be formally accepted to theprogram. Only students who have met minimumadmission requirements and have beenformally admitted to MU can enroll incourses. Provide contact information for MU’sIntensive English Program (IEP).
