This provides better detail in theareas that matter and better all-round performance,day or night. Features such as multicasting, internetstreaming and iSCSI recording are fully supported.System overviewHigh Dynamic RangeThe High Dynamic Range (HDR) of the camera meansthat you can view details in the bright and the darkareas of a scene at the same time. HDR is based on adual exposure process that captures more details inhighlights and shadows even under challenginglighting conditions. The result is that you candistinguish objects and features easily.FunctionsContent-Based Imaging TechnologyContent-Based Image Technology (C-BIT) is used toradically improve image quality in all lightingconditions and to identify areas for enhancedprocessing. The wizard is activated from theweb browser or from the on-board camera pushbutton making it easy to choose the workflow thatsuits best. The automatic motorized back focusadjustment with 1:1 pixel mapping ensures the camerais always focused accurately.StreamsThe innovative multi-streaming feature delivers variousH.264 streams together with an M‑JPEG stream. Thesestreams facilitate bandwidth-efficient viewing andrecording as well as integration with third-party videomanagement systems.An upright mode can be selected for the secondstream. In this mode an image of 400 x 720 (9:16aspect ratio) is cropped from the full sensor image.When the scene to be monitored is suitable to thismode, the bandwidth and storage requirements arereduced.Storage managementRecording management can be controlled by theBosch Video Recording Manager (VRM) or the cameracan use iSCSI targets directly without any recordingsoftware.Intelligent Video AnalyticsThe camera uses the latest generation of the BoschIntelligent Video Analysis (IVA) software. This IVAsystem is the guard-assistant system of choice whenreliable indoor or outdoor video analytics is needed.The state-of-the-art system reliably detects, tracks,and analyzes moving objects while suppressingunwanted alarms from spurious sources in the image.The face detection feature detects faces in the sceneand forwards a high quality JPEG image of the bestshot of each face when the face disappears from thescene.Retrospective forensic search capabilities are availableremotely from the web browser or the Bosch VideoClient.Regions of interestTwo Regions of Interest (ROI) can be user defined.The remote electronic pan, tilt and zoom controlsallow you to select specific areas of the parent image.These regions produce separate streams for remoteviewing and recording. These streams, together withthe main stream, allow the operator to separatelymonitor the most interesting part of a scene while stillretaining situational awareness.The IVA Intelligent tracker can also follow objectswithin the defined regions of interest. To secure Web browseraccess, use HTTPS with a SSL certificate stored in thecamera. The App is designed to give youcomplete control of all your cameras, from panningand tilting to zoom and focus functions. It’s like takingyour control room with you.This App, together with the separately available Boschtranscoder, will allow you to fully utilize our dynamictranscoding features so you can play back images evenover low-bandwidth connections.ConnectionsThe camera conforms to the ONVIF (Open NetworkVideo Interface Forum) Profile S specification whichguarantees interoperability between network videoproducts regardless of manufacturer.
