Getting Your Sea LegsYour NCL Cruise CardYour NCL Cruise card serves as your onboard charge card. You will use your NCL CruiseCard to pay for everything you purchase aboard the ship such as beverages, duty-freeitems, spa services, shore excursions, etc. You are not able to use personal credit cards orcash to pay for these items onboard.For your convenience, all shipboard expenses are charged to your Onboard account. Signup when you check in, establishing your method of payment with Visa, MasterCard,American Express, Discover, JCB Card or Diner’s Club. You may also use your debit cardhowever please be advised that NCL will obtain pre-authorization, as they do for all CreditCards, and some banks hold these funds for up to 30 days. Traveler’s checks or cash canalso be used as a method of payment to settle your account with an initial deposit paid inadvance.Using your debit or ATM cardNorwegian does not recommend the use of a debit card as payment for your onboardfolio.Ø Please be advised that multiple holds will be placed on your debit card accountbased on your onboard purchases.Ø After settling your onboard folio, these debit card holds may remain on your accountup to 30 days after the cruise ends.Ø To avoid overdraft charges from your bank, please make sure that you have enoughavailable funds in your account during this hold period.Ø Neither NCL nor the Moody Blues Cruise will be responsible for overdraft chargesresulting from holds placed on Debit Card accounts.2

Cash/Traveler’s Checks ProceduresYou can deposit cash or US Traveler’s Checks into your onboard account.A cash deposit may be placed on your account in the following amount:Ø 150/personOnce you have exceeded the deposited amount, your account will be closed to furthercharges. You can deposit as much money as often as you’d like throughout the cruise,however, refunds cannot be made until the day of disembarkation for any excess. USTraveler’s Checks can be cashed onboard and are the same as cash.**Personal checks will not be accepted, nor can they be cashed onboard.See the Guest Reception Desk on Deck 7 if you have any questions or need assistance.The NCL Cruise Card is also your form of ID as you go on and off the ship. You will need tocarry this card with you at ALL times. If you lose your card, please contact Guest Reception(Deck 7, Midship) immediately to get a new one. Keep your card away from water and cellphones as it can get demagnetized and stop working.IMPORTANT – You will NOT be able to use your NCL Cruise Card to purchase MBC eventmerchandise. Merchandise may be purchased using personal credit cards and cash only.Cash may be obtained via the casino cashier’s cage as well as the ATM on board. Pleasecheck with cashier regarding any applicable fees.3

Your CabinUpon boarding the ship, cabins may still be in the process of being cleaned and not readyfor our Moody Blues Cruise guests. In that event, we suggest you go down to the luggagedrop off at the Lotus Garden on deck 7 (midship) to store any luggage that may beawkward or heavy. At that point, you are free to grab a bite to eat up on Deck 12 at thebuffet. Once your cabin is available, you can retrieve your luggage and head to your cabin.Upon entering your cabin, take a few minutes to freshen up, drop off your carry on luggageand prepare to spend some time exploring. Also, pick up the daily activity sheet and a ship’smap to make it easier to navigate. While in your cabin, be sure to look it over to make sureeverything is in order as well. If your beds are not configured correctly, (for example youhave 2 twin beds and would like the 2 beds to be one), please call guest reception on yourcabin telephone or find your cabin steward outside your stateroom and inform them thatthey need to have the beds put together or taken apart. If you need additional pillows ortowels, again, please inform guest reception or your cabin steward to have them deliver theadditional items for you. Please remember that on embarkation day the cruise staff is verybusy loading passengers, luggage, and getting ready for our events and therefore yourrequests may not fulfilled until later in the evening. Your stateroom is equipped with USvoltage plugs (110 Volts AC). However, some high-voltage hair dryers, electric razors, etc.may require a converter.The NCL Daily Program should be waiting for you in your cabin when you arrive, providingcomplete information on the day’s events including concert performances, activities,restaurant hours, bar hours and more!By the way, the NCL Daily Program will bedelivered to your stateroom each evening with all of the information you will need forthe next day. Please also be sure to always review the documents as they are delivered toyour cabin, as there can be schedule changes if needed.4

Drink Packages (optional)We are pleased to announce that after ongoing negotiation, NCL has agreed to offersomething they never offer on charters, a. beverage package! Due to NCL's onboardaccounting system, they are unable to accept the ticket vouchers that many of you are useto, however.the Ultimate Beverage Package, is available now! This package providesunlimited drinks for 77.35 per day per person, including gratuity, (total of 309.40 forthe cruise).PLEASE NOTE that all guests in the cabin must purchase the package.The package may also be purchased onboard, however, the total rate will be an additional 40 per person if done so on board.DETAILSEnjoy a wide selection of soft drinks, beers, spirits, cocktails, wines by the glass and bottledor draft beer up to and including 15 during your entire cruise.Beverage packages must be purchased for all guests staying within the same stateroom,additional stateroom, adjoining stateroom or travel with. TERMS AND CONDITIONSNorwegian's Ultimate Beverage Package includes a variety of spirits, cocktails, wines by theglass and bottled or draft beer up to and including 15 and unlimited fountain soda andjuices at all bars, lounges, restaurants and the Great Stirrup Cay. A 20% discount will beapplied to all bottles of wine purchased on board.A sticker will be placed on your guest key card to identify that you have purchased thispackage.The Ultimate Beverage Package does not include room service, package sales, ship specificpromotions or beer buckets, designated Super Premium brands (subject to change), bottledwine, mini bar purchases, bottled water, fresh squeezed juices, select Lavazza coffeebeverages, energy drinks, vending machines, wine stations or spirits, cocktails, draft orbottled beer and glasses of wine over 15. One (1) beverage per person per transaction.Package can be used in all restaurants, lounges, bars and Great Stirrup Cay. It’s time for the self-guided tour using the ship’s map youpicked up earlier. If you don’t have a map, simply walk to the upper most deck on the ship,follow the maps you will find in the stairwells, and work your way down. In the upper levelsyou will generally find public areas like pools, pool bars, spas, gym, sports courts/features,deck relaxation areas, buffets, specialty restaurants, observation bars, dance club,children/teen areas and more. Down lower in the entertainment decks, you will find anarray of bars, clubs and lounges featuring wines, specialty drinks and music. In addition youcan visit the main dining rooms, more specialty restaurants, main showroom/theater, coffeebars, shopping mall, Information Desk, Shore Excursion Desk and many additionalentertainment features. Although we hope you will never need it, you will normally find theship’s medical center on deck 4. Please check with ship’s Information Desk for regular hoursand emergency services.7

Reserve Shore ExcursionsIf you have not previously made your shore excursion reservations, it is a good idea to visitthe Excursion Desk (located on deck 7, Midship, port side near Reception) early to makesure you get the tours you desire. Normally the desks are open at embarkation, but, insome cases you may have to return during the hours posted. Hopefully, you have doneyour homework on the ports we will be visiting and know what you want to see and do.Talk over your plans and preferences with the Shore Excursion Agents to determine whatchoices are best for your party. Don’t forget to discuss all health; mobility or age (childrenand elderly) constraints so you book excursions that are within your group’s capabilities.MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT BOOK SHORE EXCURSIONS THAT CONFLICT WITH MOODYBLUES CRUISE EVENTS YOU WISH TO ATTEND.Confirm/Reserve Spa/Fitness/Beauty ReservationsToday’s cruise ships feature some of the most complete and beautiful spa/fitness/beautyfacilities in the world- land or sea. If you didn’t book your services online during the NCLcheck in process, then during your tour of the ship, check them out and make yourappointments early so you won’t be disappointed. Also, be aware that the Moody BluesCruise port days are the busiest so those reservations will go the quickest. Be advised that“no shows” will typically be charged so ask about cancellation policies.MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT BOOK SPA/BEAUTY SERVICES THAT CONFLICT WITH MOODYBLUES CRUISE EVENTS YOU WISH TO ATTEND.8

Register Your ChildrenIt’s a great chance for kids to meet other children and to have their own fun when theyaren’t hanging with mom and dad. Make sure you take them to the children/teen clubsearly so you can get all the details on hours and services and get them registered. We findthat early introduction makes it easier for the kids to become comfortable, especially theshy ones!You Deserve a Break!Congratulations! You’ve had a busy afternoon but the extra effort and preparation will makeit smooth sailing the rest of your cruise. Find your favorite new “watering hole” and relax abit with a refreshing adult beverage.Organize Your StateroomUpon returning to you cabin, you may have received your checked luggage. If so, take thetime to unpack and get organized before your evening out. Remember, there are lots ofbags to distribute so please be patient; it may take until late evening to get all the bagsdelivered.Cleaning/PressingIf you need anything pressed for the next couple of days, contact your room steward to pickup your garments so they are back in time. Try to stay ahead of the schedule by requestingfuture laundry and dry cleaning service requirements early. Please note, there is a nominalfee for these services.9

Life Boat DrillThe Life Boat Drill or Muster Drill is a compulsory drill that all passengers must participate inprior to sailing.When you hear the announcement and the alarm, please follow theinstructions from the ship’s personnel and proceed to your Muster Station (usually printedon the life vest, inside of cabin door or on cruise card). Ship’s personnel will guide andinstruct you on procedures in the unlikely case of an emergency. This is for your safety, somake sure that you participate. By the way, if you have younger children, please requesttoddler vests from your Room Steward or ship’s personnel.Wash Your HandsToday’s modern cruise ships are among the most spotless hotels in the world (floating orland based) and adhere to high levels of sanitation control and cleanliness. As is the case inany public space, hotel or cruise ship, it is important to wash your hands regularly. Manyships provide hand sanitizer dispensers at locations throughout the ship so make sure thatyou and your party keep your hands sanitized often.Important LocationsMBC Hospitality DeskOur MBC staff will be located in the Art Gallery on Deck 7, Midship, Port side. Onboard EssentialsInternetInternet access is available on board either via the Internet Café (deck 7, Midship near theArt Gallery) or via your own personal laptop, cell phone or tablet. All cabins have internetaccess available via wireless connection or with the use of Ethernet cabin (complimentarycables can be obtained from the Internet Café Manager in the Internet Café during postedhours). In addition, there are Wi-Fi locations throughout the entire ship. In order to accessthe Internet, you will need to purchase an Internet package (see pricing below). Internetaccess is based on a shared satellite bandwidth and guests may experience slowerconnections during peak hours.If you use your laptop you will need to purchase an Internet package.Current Internet Packages are (*subject to change based on ship and sail date) are:Ultimate Cruise Plan – Unlimited Internet - 119.96100 Minutes - 75250 Minutes - 125*An Activation fee of 3.95 may apply. EntertainmentMusic StagesGuests will have the opportunity to see all of our artists perform at least once, and in manycases will be able to see artists perform twice. Similar to a festival, performances will takeplace on multiple stages throughout the ship at varying times, with some performancestaking place in venues where capacity is limited. Seating in the theatre is assigned. Pleasecheck your laminate for which performance you have been assigned. Your color willcorrespond with theater performance color on schedule. Your seat location is located onthe back. Onboard Policies/GuidelinesSmoking PolicyNorwegian Cruise Line has made changes to its smoking policy for all sailings on or afterNovember 1, 2014, as the health and well-being of guests and crew is of the utmostimportance. The specific changes prohibit smoking on stateroom balconies and limitsmoking in the casino to players ONLY.Guests in the Garden Villas may smoke in their private garden and on their private sundecks.Public areas throughout all our ships are smoke-free. If you smoke regular or electroniccigarettes, you can do so in designated areas ONLY. If you prefer pipes or cigars, you cansmoke in the Cigar Bar or designated smoking lounge. Smoking cigarettes, electroniccigarettes, cigars and pipes is only permitted in outdoor public guest spaces and opendecks where designated by the ship's management based on the ship's specificcharacteristics and arrangement (see areas below). Smoking, including electronic cigarettes,is prohibited in or near venues serving food, the jogging track, outdoor sporting venues, TheHaven outdoor areas and children's pool areas. Active Casino players may smoke cigarettesin the Casino during gaming hours. Cigarette smoking is not permitted in any other indoorvenue or location.Guests are not permitted to smoke cigarettes, e-cigarettes, cigars or pipes in theirstaterooms or on their balconies. Cigar and pipe smoking in staterooms and on balconies isprohibited. Smoking inside your stateroom or on your balcony will result in a 250 cleaningcharge added to your onboard account. If cigarette burns on furniture, linens, towels orcarpeting are detected; guests will be advised and charged for the damages.16

Electronic cigarettes cannot be used in public areas where there is a No Smoking policy inforce; simply because these cigarettes look so realistic and therefore other guests'perception is that we are not enforcing the No Smoking rule.Passengers agree to comply with this policy and further acknowledge that any violation ofthis policy could result in disembarkation from the vessel, as well as fines levied by NCL. Insuch cases OTB and NCL shall not be liable for damages, refund or other compensation,including travel costs or any other claim as a result of such behavior.Smoking is NOT permitted in the Main Theatre; AND, smoking is ONLY permitted in thefollowing area(s): Open Deck area on Deck 7 – Next to cigarette receptacles only. Decks 12 & 13 (port side only) – All smoking areas will be designated and will beaway from all bars and food areas. Casino – Only for guests gambling and only during gaming hours. Cigar Bar – Deck 6All OTB Passengers agree to sign and acknowledge this Passenger Code of Conduct, ZeroTolerance Policy prior to boarding. Failure to sign shall result in immediate disembarkationfrom vessel.17

Alcohol PolicyPassengers must be 21 years of age or older to purchase or consume alcohol.Please note that with the exception of Wine and Champagne, all guests are prohibited frombringing alcohol on board. If you purchase any alcohol in port or in the onboard shops, NCLwill safely store your purchase(s) and either on the final night of the cruise or the morning ofdebarkation it will be available for pick up in a designated area.Wine & Champagne PolicyGuests may bring bottles of wine and champagne on board. When bottles are brought onboard and served or consumed in any restaurant, public room area or in their stateroom, acorkage fee will be charged according to bottle sizes noted below.Ø 750 ml Bottle: 15.00Ø 1,500 ml Magnum: 30.00Wine or champagne sent directly to the ship by travel agents, friends, family, etc. or fromanother retail source, are subject to the same fees. Box wines are not allowed on board.* Norwegian encourages the responsible use of alcohol and accordingly reserves the rightto permanently or temporarily revoke the drinking privileges of any guest who violatesNorwegian's Guest Code of Conduct or who is deemed a danger to himself, herself orothers by vessel management. Continued abuse of alcohol while sailing and/or violation ofNorwegian's alcohol policy may result in immediate disembarkation.18

Gratuity GuidelinesGratuities for your room steward and dining staff will be automatically added to youronboard cruise account at the rate of 12 per person, per day ( 48 per person) for inside,oceanview, balcony and mini-suites guests. Gratuities for Penthouse Suites and HavenSuites will be added at the rate of 14.95 per person, per day ( 59.80). Additionally, there isan 18% gratuity and spa service charge added for all spa and salon services, as well as an18% gratuity and beverage service charge added for all beverage purchases and an 18%gratuity and specialty service charge added to all specialty restaurant dining andentertainment based dining. Additional tipping is not required. However, if you feel that youhave received excellent service from your room steward or dining staff, please feel free totip them directly.Video, Audio & Photo PolicyGuests will be permitted to take personal photos on board the cruise and duringperformances. However, out of respect for our performers, NO detachable lens cameras,NO flash photography, and NO video will be permitted during any shows during the cruise.Professional quality cameras and video specific cameras are strictly prohibited. Weappreciate your cooperation!Videotaping WaiverPlease be aware that a professional video crew will be on board shooting footage to beused for the promotion of future Moody Blues Cruise events. When the video team isshooting in any particular location/venue on the ship, your presence in said location/venueacknowledges your permission for your likeness to be used in future, non-commercialbroadcast promotional videos or still pictures. If you do not wish to be filmed please notifythe video crew and be prepared to exit the location/venue for a short time until taping iscomplete. Thank you for your cooperation.19

Passenger Code of Conduct: ZERO TOLERENCE POLICYIMPORTANT NOTE FROM MBC: Due to the behavior exhibited on several other charters onNCL, we will be under scrutiny in 2016 regarding use of illegal substances, violent acts(between passengers/spousal), destructive acts to the ship and other behavior detrimentalto crew and passengers. The Moody Blues Cruise family has previously shown respect forthe crew, passengers and we encourage you join us in keeping it that way. Let’s have agreat time as we continue our unblemished record of good behavior. Thanks!All Moody Blues Cruise guests are required to read and agree to the following ZeroTolerance Policy, as part of the Terms & Conditions (Passenger Ticket Contract) of theircruise:Guest BehaviorOn the Blue (“OTB”) and Norwegian Cruise Line (“NCL”) have adopted a Zero TolerancePolicy and will not permit behavior by any Moody Blues Cruise Passenger (“Passengers”)which negatively impacts the comfort, enjoyment, health, safety or well-being of otherPassengers, its’ performers and staff or the ship’s crew. In addition, violent, abusive ordisrespectful behavior caused by the use of alcohol and/or an illegal substance shall not betolerated. Passengers agree to comply with this policy, and further acknowledge that OTBand NCL reserve the right to refuse or discontinue passage to any Passenger who, in OTB orNCL’s sole judgment, is conducting himself or herself in a manner that adversely affects thecruise experience of other Passengers. This also includes but is not limited to: spousalabuse or violence directed at a family member. In all cases, OTB and NCL shall not be liablefor any damages, refund or other compensation, including travel costs or any other claim asa result of such behavior.20

Illegal SubstancesOTB and NCL have a “Zero Tolerance” policy regarding the use, possession or distribution ofany and all illegal controlled substances by Passengers aboard the ship. Passengers agreeto comply with this policy, and further acknowledge that any violation of this policy willresult in disembarkation from the vessel, and Passengers acknowledges that it is OTB andNCL’s policy to report incidents of illegal activity or behavior to the appropriate lawenforcement authorities for appropriate legal action. In such cases, OTB and NCL shall notbe liable for any damages, refund or other compensation, including travel costs or any otherclaim as a result of such behavior.Intentional Damage To The VesselOTB and NCL have a “Zero Tolerance” policy regarding intentional damage to the vessel oraccidental damage to the vessel as a result of general negligence, alcohol intoxication orthe influence of an illegal substance. Passengers causing any such damage agree to pay foridentified damage prior to disembarking the vessel. All passengers must agree to complywith this policy, and further acknowledge that any violation of this policy may result indisembarkation from the vessel, and all passengers acknowledge that it is OTB and NCL’spolicy to report incidents of illegal activity or behavior to the appropriate law enforcementauthorities for appropriate legal action. In such cases OTB and NCL shall not be liable forany damages, refund or other compensation, including travel costs or any other claim as aresult of such behavior.By boarding the NCL Pearl during the February 26-March 1, 2016 sailing, passengers acceptthe Passenger Code of Conduct and Zero Tolerance Policy as detailed in this section.21

The EntertainersThe Entertainers are available throughout the entire cruising experience, from concerts,photo ops, Q&A sessions and more. In fact, they have a crazy schedule with very littledowntime.
