HEALTH & WELLNESSCOVID-19 GUIDANCEMany measures have been put into place to help keep you safe. However, pleaseremember it only works if everyone follows best practices and procedures to reduce thespread of COVID-19. Our priority, as always, is the health and safety of you and ourcommunity. Everyone needs to act responsibly in order for all to benefit.Face Mask PolicyEffective March 2, 2022, Kansas State University strongly encourages — but does notrequire — that everyone wear masks while indoors on university property. Theuniversity's updated face mask guidance is based on the newest Centers for DiseaseControl and Prevention guidance for determining face mask requirements. Face masksare now optional for all individuals on K-State campuses and at university events.According to the CDC guidance, people may choose to mask at any time, and high-riskindividuals should consult with their health care providers, as should those who live withor care for higher risk people. Individuals who had exposure to someone with COVID-19should also wear a mask. People with symptoms or a positive test should stay home.COVID-19 Exposure, Isolation and Quarantine ProtocolsStudents, employees and visitors should self-assess their symptoms and should notcome to campus if they are sick, have a temperature over 100.4 degrees F, or have otherillness symptoms of the coronavirus as listed on the U.S. Centers for Disease Control andPrevention, or CDC, website. Persons who develop any of these symptoms while oncampus should leave and return to their local residence.Students, employees and visitors should follow CDC guidance on COVID-19 exposureand COVID-19 isolation and precautions. Students, employees and visitors may bedirected by health officials to enter isolation or quarantine for health reasons and mustfollow CDC guidance before returning to in-person university programs or activities.Faculty members will work with you to ensure that you can continue working on yourcourses during this time. SCHOLARSHIPS &FINANCIAL AIDEarning a degree is a significant investment in your future, and K-State Olathe strives to supportour students and their goals. Learn about the many types of financial support availableto students, including scholarships, grants and loans.JCERT Scholarship ProgramK-State Olathe offers scholarships sponsored by the Johnson County Education and ResearchTriangle. Scholarship awards are based on availability of funds. Applicants may be awarded upto 4,000 for the duration of their program of study, provided they meet minimum academicand enrollment requirements.Hospitality Management ScholarshipsK-State Olathe offers scholarships sponsored by the Greater Kansas City Restaurant Association(GKCRA) and K-State Olathe. Scholarship awards are based on availability of funds. Applicantsmay be awarded up to 2,000 for their degree completion program, provided they are in goodstanding and meet the enrollment requirements. Scholarships will be distributed in four 500awards for up to four semesters for a total of 2000 per student.
