Increase community impact consistent with the mission and visionof the organization through strong, meaningful and long-term relationships across the District and the Community withresidents, businesses and other community organizations. Serves as the “Face of the Foundation” with all key constituentswithin the District, the Community and beyond to promote and support the Foundation’s mission and have a significantimpact on the Foundation’s fundraising initiatives to broaden and deepen the Foundation’s support of Plano r’s Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business or Education (required)Master’s Degree (preferred; may substitute three years of experience for advanced degree)Certified Fund Raising Executive (preferred)Special Knowledge/Skills:Visionary leader with proven track record of motivating others and a passion for educationExcellent interpersonal, public relations, organizational and communication (verbal and written) skillsStrong leadership and marketing skillsGoal oriented, self-motivated, entrepreneurialExperience:Five years of experience in fundraising and supervisory management in not-for-profit sector or relatedfield (preferred)Experience in public education setting (preferred)Knowledge of the Plano community, school system, as well as regional businesses and philanthropiccommunity (preferred)Proven history of meeting or exceeding fundraising goals and grant writing experiencePage 1

Job Title: Senior Executive Director – Plano ISD Education FoundationMajor Responsibilities and Duties:GeneralProvide leadership as the Foundation’s chief executive officer, development officer and spokespersonBe a single point of contact for collaboration between Plano ISD, the Education Foundation, highereducation, local businesses, non-profit organizations, City officials, and regional/national FoundationsDirect and oversee short- and long-term strategic plans and programsParticipate in Foundation board meetings and provide monthly reports to the boardMeet with City and school system liaisons to collect and disseminate information, and coordinateactivities and initiativesMaintain effective relationships with professional and community organizations and actively participate asa member, where appropriate, at the direction of the district supervisorEffectively lead and supervise Foundation staffFundraisingExpand revenue generating and fundraising activities to support existing operations and programexpansionsResearch corporate and individual donor prospects and cultivate relationshipsResearch, prepare and apply for grants or engage grant writers to create revenue streams to fundFoundation prioritiesDevelop, implement and provide overall direction of all fund-raising activities including but not limited tofine arts center endowment campaign and other endowment fundsInvolve Board and Development Committee in development activities, effectively utilize Board resourcesand supervisor, and provide fund development training for members, as appropriateParticipate with board members and district supervisor in targeted funding requestsResearch corporate and individual donor prospects and cultivate relationshipsFacilitate fundraising activities that engage community partnersProvide for structured giving and other programs as appropriateIdentify and inform the district supervisor and Board of new funding sourcesRaise a significant portion of funds each year to support Foundation goalsCommunicationDeepen and refine all aspects of the Foundation’s communications and marketing, including social mediaNetworkingPage 2
