SAINT BONIFACE CATHOLIC CHURCHFAITH HOSPITALITY SERVICE 22 & 25 DEC 2019: NATIVITY OF OUR LORD“And this will be a sign for you:You shall find an infant wrapped in swaddling clothesand lying in a manger”(Luke 2:12)We often look for God in magnificent religious places, in extraordinary religiousexperiences—and in ornamented rituals. Yet we forget that this God of ours islying in the manger—right before our eyes, needing a home and our love.We need to look again—at our hearts, our homes, and our community. We willfind estranged places and wounded hearts that are crying for our friendship, loving reception, and restoration. We need to approach them with humility. As families wrapped the gifts for Angel Tree, I thought of parishioners who losttheir loved ones, struggling through difficult diagnosis, overwhelmed with financial challenges, overcome by loneliness, searching for meaning in life, goingthrough a dark place in marriage, and those frightened of mortality. I thoughtof the youth, the sick, the elderly I met in India and El Salvador as well.Yes, all are lying in mangers—altars upon which the Divine Child rests. All needto be wrapped—in warm clothes. Could we not become real nourishments?Could we not become the new Bethlehem for the entire community!A Blessed Christmas to all of you, Father ChinnaMission“Being the Joy of theGospel through a deeper lovefor Jesus and by a strongercommitment to each other!”Weekday Mass:Tuesday: 5:30 PMWednesday: 7:00 AMThursday: 8:00 AMFriday: 7:00 AMWeekend Mass:Saturday: 5:00 PMSunday: 7:30; 9:00; and11:00 AM*Confession:Tuesday: 4 — 5:15 PMSaturday: 9 — 10:30 AM*Father Chinna isavailable for Confessionduring the week: Please callthe office! Necesitamos acercarnos a elloscon humildad. Una bendecida Navidad para todos ustedes, padre ChinnaWEEKLY CALENDARSaturday, 21 December6:30 PM: Christmas Concert [Church]Sunday, 22 December9:00 & 11:00 AM: NO YFF Classes9:30 AM: Word & Communion Service [LegacyRetirement Center]Monday, 23 December5:45 PM: NO Youth Faith Formation Classes7:00 PM: Prayer Group/Patriotic RosaryTuesday, 24 DecemberWednesday, 25 DecemberThursday, 26 December6:30 AM: Men of Boniface8:30 AM: Scripture Study Group7:00 PM: RCIAFriday, 27 DecemberNo events scheduledSaturday, 28 DecemberNo events scheduledSunday, 29 December9:00 & 11:00 AM: NO YFF ClassesDEVOTIONALSThe altar bread and wine is being offered thisweek by Mary Ann Grieb in loving memoryfor Warren and Roger Grieb.
