MDC 93W5044.JANUARY 1993Section IINTRODUCTIONThe Space Station EnvironmentalControl and Life SupportSystem (ECLSS)contract(NAS836407) with NASA MSFC coveredthe time frame from May 9, 1985 to December31, 1992. Thecontract roughly coveredthe period of SSF developmentfrom early Phase B through Phase C/DCriticalDesignReview(CDR).Duringthis time, McDonnellDouglasAerospace(formerlyMcDonnellDouglas Space Systems Company)- Huntsville performedan analyticalsupport role toMSFC for the developmentof analyticalmath models and engineeringtrade studies related to thedesign of the ECLSS for Space Station Freedom(SSF).1-1

vMDC OCUMENTATIONA completenarrative descriptionof all tasks and subsequentresultswould require an extensivemanpowereffort. It is assumedthat the requirementsfor final reporting,as stated in attachmentJ2 of the Basic SOW, were intended to cover the original two year contract only, and not the entireseven year contracttime frame resultingfrom extensions. In lieu of a completenarrativefinalreport, MDA submits a comprehensivelisting of ECLSS IntegrationAnalysistasks and resultingdocumentationdeliveredto NASA MSFC during the course of the contract.A listing of contractualtasks by Work BreakdownStructure(WBS)is given in Table2-1.Resultingdocumentationis summarizedin Table 2-2.The documentationlisting includesallcontractdeliverabledocuments(MDC chnicalpapers, and subcontractfinal reports. The listingdoes not providefinal taskdocumentationin the form of presentationsmade to MSFC.Copies of all reports and presentationswere distributedto MSFC personnelduring the contract period of performance. In the event somedata has been lost over the extendedtime frame of the contract, all reports and presentationsgeneratedon contract NAS8-36407reside in permanentfile at MDA-HuntsviUe,and will be madeavailableat any time upon request from the Government.Requestscan be made to the contractTechnicalManager,R.C.
