Detailed InformationIn order to keep you informed and assist new EOP students thru the matriculation process into CSUSM, EOP encouragesstudents to visit and bookmark the following EOP “Check Off List and Information” link for easy reference for the informationbelow: https://www.csusm.edu/eop/admitted , as well as the EOP website as it can be one of the best resources during theiracademic journey at CSUSM at https://www.csusm.edu/eop/ . Register for a CSUSM University Orientation by June 1.Orientation is designed to help incoming students feel welcomed and a part of the CSUSM community. Summer2022 Orientation programs will be a two-part component- complete an online module (Go2Orientation) prior toattending the in-person orientation. Available dates vary for each student depending on major. Orientationreservation questions may be directed to Orientation & New Student Programs.New EOP Transfer students can sign up for any summer Orientation date.Register for an Orientation by logging onto your MyCSUSM Portal Today! Failure to attend CSUSM Orientationwill result in courses being dropped.Submit Intent to Enroll & Deposit:Your Intent to Enroll and the 150 Enrollment Deposit must be submitted by May 1.Failure to submit the intent to enroll and enrollment deposit by the deadline will result in cancellation of youroffer of admission. You can submit your Intent to Enroll and pay the Deposit on MyCSUSM. Once you have logged in, select "StudentCenter," then select "Accept" or "Decline" for your fall application. If you select "Accept," you are required tocomplete all the steps to accept the offer of admission. Enable pop-ups on your web browser to proceed withmaking your payment online.The 150 Enrollment Deposit is non-refundable and will apply toward your first term tuition. The EnrollmentDeposit will be waived only for students who qualified for a fee-waiver at the time of application. Contact CSUSMAdmission at 760-750-4848 for any questions regarding the fee waiver.EOP First Contact:Introduces new EOP First-Year Freshmen students to program services, designated EOP counselors, and the reviewand completion of the student contract/agreement of participation in the EOP program. EOP Summer Bridge:The mission of EOP Summer Bridge is to bridge the gap from high school to college in order for first year studentsto successfully navigate their first year of college.The goals of the Summer Bridge program are to: Positively impact students by providing tools and resources to successfully navigate academic and socialdemands while overcoming any challenges during their first year in college.Support students’ successful transition from high school to college.Create a community of student scholars.Build an awareness of students’ “student identity” as they progress through their first year in highereducation.Facilitate a sense of belonging and confidence in the students’ ability to be part of the university community.Summer Bridge Dates: June 11th: Information Session, 12-1 PM via Zoom June 27th-August 5th: Select students will enroll in and complete GEL 101 (satisfies General Education, Area E)with complimentary workshops, events, and activities throughout the week. M-Th, 1-5 PM. Students mustalso be available during following dates throughout program:o June 27th: Kick-Off at CSUSM, 11 AM-12:30 PMo June 30th: Ropes Course Challenge at UCSD, 11 AM- 8:30 PMo August 5th: Closing Reception, Time TBDPlease review the Summer Bridge webpage for more information and application instructions.New FY EOP Registration Assistance Sessions:New CSUSM EOP FY students will be able to register for courses for the Fall semester beginning June 21standschedule adjust on line thru the first day of the Fall 2021 semester. EOP Registration Assistance is available for newincoming EOP FY students to meet virtually with an EOP counselors for assistance in course selection and guidance.Students must complete a “How to Enroll the Cougar Way” workshop, run their Degree Planner located in theirMyCSUSM Student Center. Your CSUSM student email will be necessary to sign up and participate in virtual EOPRegistration Assistance Drop-ins that will be offered by EOP for students that need help with their fall schedules.Please note that the University and EOP use your campus email as the main communication method for importantinformation.Final Transcripts:A final transcript showing completion of all requirements with verification of graduation must be submitted tothe Office of Admissions & Student Outreach at CSUSM. Final transcripts must be official and received by CSUSMno later than 5:00pm on July 15.Electronic delivery is the preferred delivery method. Verify with your school if an electronic transcript is available.Electronic transcripts can be provided through external or third-party vendors (Credential Solutions,4BM 6/2/22
