2C Y B E R E X P O W E R B U I LT I N D U S T R I A L U P S—The Cyberex PowerBuilt is a trueonline double-conversion industrialUPS designed to support thecontinuing demand fromdownstream refining andpetrochemicals, upstream oil andgas, power generation, and thegrowing regulatory and safetyneeds of today’s industrialcomplexes.

3—Cyberex PowerBuilt Industrial UPS—Power quality detection in theCyberex PowerBuilt The PowerBuilt Series UPS is designed to UL 1778safety and IEC 62040-3 performance standards;and therefore, it can be scaled to meet changingelectrical requirements and is adaptable to themost stringent technical specification. The newly developed intelligent control logicinternal to the PowerBuilt industrial UPS is thesilent sentry that continuously safeguards thesystem to ensure uninterrupted operation. It isequipped with an unmatched user interface withfull-color touch screen GUI for self-guided,serviceability with minimal engagement, and thelatest communication protocols. It also features apatented digital static transfer switch design, which enhances system performance throughincreased redundancy and reliability. The fullyrated switch provides better protection ofcritical loads from input power transients andinterruptions by eliminating any single pointof failure. The conventional zero-crossing methods used forfault detection require multiple measuring periodsthat must be computed over phase noise. ThePowerBuilt UPS phase-locked loops (PLL) controlsystem is a proprietary correlation method thatenables precise measurements of an input/outputwaveform, resulting in shorter measurementperiods and rapid reaction to protect the criticalload during a power quality event.Power quality event detected in 3 ms10.50-0.5Line voltage event-100.020.04Time(s)0.06Figure 1: System reacting to a power quality event0.080.1

4C Y B E R E X P O W E R B U I LT T M I N D U S T R I A L U P S—Robust industrial design—High overload capacity on inverterThe threat of lost production or the possibility of damage to work inprocess is a central manufacturing concern. The Cyberex PowerBuilt industrial UPS features an innovative IGBT based pulse-width modulation(PWM) inverter design that employs active current limitation for highershort circuit tolerance. The active short-circuit method ensures the bestpossible current clearing waveform, while still protecting the inverterfrom catastrophic failure. In the event of a load side short circuit or overcurrent that cannot be supplied by the inverter, the UPS logic will transferaway from the active inverter source, thereby preventing the faultcondition from damaging the inverter.—Hardware Static switchCB159F201F202Static ass UPS modules37"PowerBuilt 10–40kVAStandard37"25"PowerBuilt 10–40kVA with RMBSOptional80"PowerBuilt 40–80kVAIncluded RMBS standard
