The teachers kind oftreated it like their own little islandwith their own rules. It was also nicejust to go outside during the day.”After college, Sharitz said all thecircumstances were right for him toreturn.“I loved the school and it waswalking distance from where I lived,”he said. “I also knew the majority ofthe staff which made it the most logical. I believe some of the staff membersused to joke with the principals bysaying, ‘You hire Sharitz yet?’”Sharitz said MHS has taught himthat as a teacher it can be fun to go towork. The most life-changing event, hesaid, was meeting his wife, BrittanySharitz, former language arts teacherand current library media specialist.Later MHS expanded to accommodate its growing population ofstudents. PE teacher Jenna King,Class of 2005, was a student when theG-Wing was constructed in 2001.
