VIPER RED DOTPowering UpWindage and Elevation AdjustmentTo turn the Viper on, press either the up or downarrow. To turn off, press and hold the down arrow forfive seconds.The Viper features adjustable elevation and windagedials with 1 MOA marks.Power OnPress the up ordown arrow.Note: The adjustments are protected by lock screwswhich must be loosened with thesmall screwdriver before anyadjustments are made.Elevation DialPower OffPress and holdthe down arrow.Brightness AdjustmentsAdjust the illumination instensity using theappropriate arrow button: Tap the up arrow to increase brightness. VIPER RED DOTMOUNTINGTHEVIPERThe Viper red dot is shipped from the factory witha low rail mount that clamps to both a Weaver orPicatinny rail.Mounting OptionsIn addition to the supplied low rail mount, anoptional riser mount places the Viper red dot atcorrect height for AR-15 rifles.Note: If your firearm isnot already equippedwith a base rail, it maybe purchased from manyfirearms dealers.1. Attach the low railmount to the Viper usingthe included screws.2. Attach the Viper to thePicatinny base rail, makingsure the recoil lug is solidlyseated in the base groove.3. Check to see that the clamp is fully down andhooked around the outside of the base.4. VIPER RED DOTSighting InAfter mounting, an initial sight-in of the Viper reddot at 25 yards will be helpful. Final sight-in shouldbe done at the desired distance (typically 25-50yards).1. Be sure the windage and elevation lock screwsare tight before firing. Fire a three-shot group asprecisely as possible at 25 yards. Loosen the Windage and Elevation AdjustmentLock Screws before adjusting. Using the center of the three-shot group as areference, make the necessary adjustments forwindage and elevation correction. Using arrowsfor reference, adjust dials in the direction youwish the group to move. At 25 yards, each dialmark will yield about ¼ inch of adjustment. Re-tighten the lock screws.2. Fire a three-shot group at final preferred sight-indistance (25-50 yards). Loosen windage and elevation lock screwsbefore adjusting. Using the center of the three-shot group asa reference, make necessary adjustments forwindage and elevation correction. Using arrowsfor reference, adjust dials in the direction youwish the group to move. At 50 yards, each dialmark will yield about ½ inch of adjustment. After achieving satisfactory zero, re-tightenlock screws.3. Fire a final three-shot group to confirm properadjustment. Repeat as necessary. Confirm that all mounting screws and lockscrews are snug and tight.101189

VIPER RED DOTMaintenanceTroubleshootingCleaningThe Viper red dot will require very little routinemaintenance other than periodically cleaning theexterior lenses. If desired, the exterior lens may becleaned by wiping with a soft, dry cloth.When cleaning the lenses, be sure to use productsthat are specifically designed for use on coatedoptical lenses such as the Vortex Lens Pen andFogFree Cleaning Kits.If the red dot does not illuminate, please check thefollowing before returning the red dot for service: Is the battery oriented correctly? Be sure thebattery is installed with the side facing upwards. Is the battery dead? If so, replace the battery. Be sure to blow away any dust or grit on the lensprior to wiping the surface. Using your breath, or a very small amount ofwater or pure alcohol, can help remove stubbornthings like dried water spots.12131011
