1Remove all the paint in the affected areawith a DA sander using a P120/P180 gritdisc.34Drill a number of 3mm holes either side ofthe repair (this is known as shoe lacing).Then using a die grinder/file grind a “V” shapedchannel into the repaired area. Key the back ofthe plastic in the area to be repaired.567Mix the appropriate amount of Plex fillerwith hardener at a ratio of 2% at anambient temp of 20ºC.81011Clean and degrease the area to be repairedon the front and reverse.Once cured, apply dry powder guidecoat.2Take a piece of fabric webbing material andcut to the approximate size of the repair.Apply the Plex to the fabric webbing andthen apply with a firm even pressure tothe reverse of the repair area.Drill a hole approximately 3mm at the endof the split to relieve the chance of furthercracking/splitting.Degrease both sides and apply a thin layeror coating of adhesion promoter.9Take the applicator supplied and spreadthe Plex smoothly on the outer repairsurface.Block sand with either a P120 or a P180feathering out with a P320 to finish.Note: If further applications are required please repeat steps 7 through 11, omitting step 8.19
