Each phone line has a separate number,butthereisalso a system master number.When you call themasternumber,there ny)that will scan the lines and connect you to thefirstopen line that it encounters.TheDDialsarechatsystems.A chatsystemiswhereseveralusers may get online together for conferencing.Thesesystemsare usually open forum but with strict policing by their Sysopsand Co-Sysops.Seldom do you find any rude or vulgar activitiesbeing tolerated on a DDial.Along with the multi-user chat capabilities,thereisalsoRAM-based email that can be read once,and only once beforeitis destroyed!The Sysop can also postgeneralbulletinsthatcan be accessed by all or displayedtoallonlineusersatrandom if the Sysop so desires.There are a few basic commands that youwillneedtogetstarted on a DDial as listed below:/HUsing this command followed by your name will allowallof your transmissions to be preceeded by lhelpeducate you on how to use the DDial.Z?This will call up this master command listfor yourexamination./PThis command,followed by another user's line numberwill allow you to send personnal messageswithoutpublic viewing.It should be noted that most DDials are membershipsystems.Due to the tremendous overhead,very few people canaffordtooperate without subscribers.These systemswillusuallyhavethree levels of users:1. Non-members whomaylogonfortenminuteincrements with limited privledges subscriptionpasswords that allow them limited privledges‘morethannonmembers)and access to the system when it islockedfromthepublic,3.
