WHAT IS THE DRÄGER INTERLOCK 7000?The Interlock 7000 is a reliable and precise alcoholmeasuring instrument with integrated vehicleimmobiliser. It prevents drunk-driving. The Interlock 7000consists of two components: handset and controlunit. The handset measures the alcohol concentrationin the breath of the driver. The control unit releasesor blocks the power supply to the starter relay of thevehicle, and also records all relevant data. If requiredby the statutory Interlock programme, the device canbe additionally equipped with a camera and / ora GPRS module.HOW DOES THE DRÄGER INTERLOCK 7000 WORK?Before you can start the engine, the device measuresthe alcohol content in your breath. If the measurementresult is below the set limit value you can start theengine. If the measured breath alcohol concentrationexceeds this limit value the device reliably prevents theengine from being started. Retests are required whiledriving and are carried out at random intervals. Thedevice gives you the necessary time to stop the vehicle,so that you can carry out the test without being rushed. The Interlock 7000 does not interfere with a runningengine. Your driving will not be disrupted by the device. All data such as initial tests, retests, and possiblemanipulation attempts are recorded in the control unitand forwarded to the responsible entity.IMPORTANT TO KNOWThe Interlock 7000 can tell the difference betweenresidual mouth alcohol and breath alcohol. Mouthalcohol caused by food and beverages that containsmall amounts of alcohol can affect the test result. You cannot start the vehicle for a pre-defined periodof time if a certain breath alcohol concentration isdetected. The measurement result is documented inthe control unit.

RETESTING WHILE DRIVINGRetests are required at random intervals. They areannounced by an acoustic signal and a messageon the display. The blue LED light is an additionalindicator.
