You may find that you meet a great match at an admitted student event in the spring, at which pointyou can update your housing application with your roommate request. It outlines the basics of when you will be able eligible to receive funds, whether or not the funds willremain deferred while the student is in school and what to expect when you begin repayment. Entrance Counseling and a completeMaster Promissory Note (see below) are requirements established by the Department of Education and are required by all first timeborrowers when they enroll at Radford University.What is a Master Promissory Note (MPN) and why do I need to complete it?The MPN is a promissory note that can be used to make one or more loans for one or more academic years (up to ten years). Thereare two types of MPNs in the Direct Loan Program: one for students and one for parents. When you sign the MPN you are agreeing torepay the U.S. Department of Education all loans made to you under the terms of MPN.FAFSA- you can use estimates from last year’s taxes.
