ADMISSION REQUIREMENTSFor New Children* Completion of an online application at Archristian.org. An email will be sent after theapplication is received with instructions to complete your online enrollment. A 110.00enrollment fee will be paid online to complete your application.* Copy of current Immunization Record.* First week’s tuition of 155.00 will need to be paid on or before the child’s first day bycash or check. Bank draft will start the 2nd week.* Signed bank draft and a voided check.* Agree to comply with policies and procedures of Arkansas Christian Preschool.* Student must be fully potty trained prior to starting K3/4.COOPERATION EXPECTATIONSAll children attending Arkansas Christian Academy Preschool should be a result of theparent’s desire to have their child educated in accordance with our educational philosophy.In order for this program to be effective, parental cooperation is essential. Parents whofind themselves in disagreement with the program and philosophy at ArkansasChristian Preschool retain the right to remove their child. Likewise, theadministration of Arkansas Christian Preschool retains the right to dismiss anyonefrom the program who, in the sole judgment of the administration, is considered tobe uncooperative with the program.Nondiscrimination PolicyArkansas Christian Academy Preschool admits children of any race, color, national andethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally made availableto or made available to children at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race,color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissionspolicies, scholarships and other school administered programs.Preschool LicensingIn the case of suspected licensing violations and/or child maltreatment, staff and childrenare subject to be interviewed by Child Care Licensing, by DCFS Special Investigationsand by law enforcement for investigative purposes and/or determining compliance withLicensing Requirements.The statewide Child Maltreatment “Hot Line” number is 1-800-482-5964. The LicensingCentral Office number is 501-682-8590 or toll free 1-800-445-3316. Arkansas ChristianPreschool staff are mandated reporters of all suspected child abuse. Preschool Hours: Monday – Friday 7:00am – 6:00pmDrop Off* Enter through the West gate (nearest the digital sign).* 7:00am - 8:00am: Park in a designated parking space and walk your child to the mainfront doors of the Family Life Center (Bldg. #3). Please sign your child in.* After 8:00amPark in a designated parking space and walk your child to the main front doors of theArkansas Christian Academy building (Bldg. #4). Ring the doorbell for assistance. Pleasesign your child in.Pick Up* Enter through the West gate (nearest the digital sign).* Park in a designated parking space. Pick up is at the main front doors of the ArkansasChristian Academy building (Bldg. #4) before 5:00pm, or the Family Church building(Bldg. #2) after 5:00pm. Ring the doorbell for assistance. Please sign your child out.* Car Line Pick-up is from 3:30-3:45pm(Car line pick up is available ONLY if you will be picking up every day between3:25-3:45pm AND you have an older sibling in ACA.)Traffic between 3:10-3:45pm is very busy and congested.*If your child is not on the car rider list and you need to pick up between 3:103:45pm, please contact the office prior to arrival.IMPORTANTShould your child be picked up later than 6:00pm, your child’s account will be charged 5.00 for each 5-minute increment (example: 1-5 minutes late is 5, 6-10 minutes late is 10, etc.). Children who are picked up late repeatedly are subject to dismissal.Parking Lot Safety Reminders DO NOT leave your vehicle running when unattended. Do not leave a child unattended in the vehicle. Please park in a designated parking area. Lock your doors. Do not leave valuable items in open view.Preschool Curriculum and ActivitiesCurriculum and activities will start at 9:00am. Authorized Pick-upOnly the people listed on your child’s pick-up list will be allowed to pick up. Thatperson must have the proper photo ID, or the child will not be allowed to leave. Toensure your child’s safety, fax and phone calls will not be acceptable to alter the pickuplist.Withdrawal / DismissalAll fees are non-refundable. Withdrawals from school must be made through the schooloffice and a withdrawal form must be completed and returned 7 days prior to withdrawal.If a child attends any portion of the week, the entire week’s tuition must be paid. Allwithdrawals are subject to approval from the administration. A child may be dismissedwhen he/she is found out of harmony with the rules and policies of the school.VacationVacation time must be taken Monday through Friday. One week is allowed during theacademic months (August-May) and one week during the summer months (June-August).A vacation request form must be turned in to the office seven (7) days prior to thevacation. If one week vacation is not taken it cannot transfer over to the nextvacation time frame. If you do not take 1 week, you will lose that week for thatvacation period.Student InformationPlease contact the office to update any changes regarding your current address, phonenumbers, and email address. There will be a lot of communication made throughemails, so please check your email daily.Emergency Preparedness Guide:Arkansas Christian Preschool and Academy has an Emergency Preparedness PlanningGuide in place. The plan and procedures are intended to provide guidance whendeveloping an emergency plan necessary to protect the children and staff within thefacility. The guidelines and procedures are coordinated through the local emergencydepartments and DHS. All staff are trained upon hire and yearly training is given on theplans and procedures for emergencies. The plans are updated by the administration asneeded. All classrooms, offices, and departments have an Emergency PreparednessPlanning Guide. Relocation site is (IF NECESSARY) Indian Springs Church inBryant. We will post signs on doors, notify the media, and use phone messaging tocommunicate.Inclement WeatherShould it become necessary to dismiss school due to inclement weather or other reasons,parents will be notified as soon as possible by means of announcements on localtelevision stations. Our inclement weather school dismissal will coincide with that ofthe Bryant School District as announced on local television stations.School Visitors: All visitors must be on the child’s authorized pick-up list in order tohave contact with that child.4Revised 7/22/2022

Lunch Time Procedure Parents have the option of sending their child with a lunch from home or purchasinghot lunch tray for 3.50. There will be a lunch menu sent home monthly and thereis also a menu at Archristian.org. Payment for lunch trays must be paid onlinethrough FACTS.Microwaves OR Refrigerators will NOT be available for lunches. If yourchild’s food must be hot or needs to stay cold, please send it in a thermos that willkeep it warm/cold until lunchtime. No glass containers.Milk or water will be provided for lunch.All lunch counts must be turned in to the cafeteria by 9:00am. If your child isarriving at school after 9:00am, please contact the school office or teacher tohave your child added to the lunch tray count.ToysPlease do not allow your child to bring a toy to school unless posted otherwise for aspecial classroom event.BirthdaysIf you wish to send cupcakes or other simple refreshments on your child’s birthday,please notify the teacher in advance. Refreshments will be given during the 2:30pm snacktime. All refreshments must be store bought.Preschool Dress CodePreschool is not required to wear uniforms. We ask that you dress your childappropriately for the weather and keep a change of clothes in your child’s backpack. Wealso ask that the following dress code be followed by all K3/4 students: For playground and gym safety – Tennis shoes are the best! NO FLIPSFLOPS, CROCS, OR SANDALS.Piercings - Limited to girls’ ears only.Nail Polish - Limited to girls’ nails only.Hairstyles/colors - No hairstyles that disrupt the learning environment and nohair coloring that can be considered unnatural.Hair Accessories - Optional for girls.Headwear - Restricted to outside areas.Skirts/dresses - Shorts must be worn under skirts/dresses.ACA Clothing and Restroom PolicyThe appropriate clothing and restroom use for each student will be determined by thegender/sex designated on the student’s original birth certificate, as determined by theattending physician or person responsible at such time.5Revised 7/22/2022

Preschool Health PolicySymptoms Requiring Removal of Child from School Fever of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or greater (Can return after being fever free for24 hours without medication) Diarrhea 3 or more times in a 24-hour period (Cannot return until no symptomsfor 24 hours) Vomiting two or more times in a 24-hour period (Can return after being virus freefor 24 hours) Body rashes (Must be free of fever and rash for 24 hours unless associated withdiapering, heat, or allergic reaction) Pink eye (Must be treated for 24-48 hours depending on the severity) Scabies (May return after being treated for a full 48 hours) Head Lice (May return after treatment and free of nits) Multiple sores in mouth (Ex. Thrush must be treated for 24 hours beforereturning) Ring worm (Must be treated for 24 hours and then covered when returning) Impetigo (May return after treated for 24 hours and covered when returning) Strep Throat (May return after treated for 24 hours and fever/rash free) RSV (May return 5 days after treatment or care) Eye Drainage (May return after treated for 24 hours) Severe Cough along with difficulty breathing.*Arkansas Christian Preschool reserves the right to ask for a note from thechild’s pediatrician to clear the child before returning to school.First Aid ServicesParents will be contacted to pick up if the injury needs medical attention. Staff areallowed and trained to use a first aid kit for minor injuries. An accident report will becompleted by the staff and will need to be signed by the parents at pick-up. A copy willbe sent home and one will be kept at school in the child’s file.MedicineNo over-the-counter medication will be administered by the school without theparent’s permission. All prescription medications must meet the following conditionsand be approved by administration before they will be administered: must be in theoriginal container, labeled with the child’s name, provide dosage information, and parentscompleted medication form (available in the office).Discipline PoliciesTeachers will use a system of discipline that focuses on positive reinforcement ofappropriate behavior. Parents will be notified in writing or by phone if their child’sbehavior required disciplinary action by the administration office.Arkansas Christian Preschool does not use corporal punishment.Dismissal from Arkansas Christian PreschoolAny child committing any of the following offenses may be considered for immediatedismissal/suspension by the administration: lying, cheating, showing disrespect to6Revised 7/22/2022

another child, teacher, or staff member, profanity, fighting (to include hitting, kicking,and biting, etc.), or any other behaviors deemed by the administration that are notconducive to the continuity of the program.Custody IssuesArkansas Christian Preschool will request the custody agreement/court agreement uponenrollment or from currently enrolled students if a custody battle is in process. ArkansasChristian Preschool will obey the legal custody agreement regardless of an arrangementmade by the parents outside the court orders. No child will be held from a legal guardianunless documentation is ordered by the court. Arkansas Christian Preschool staff will nottake sides and will not be involved in the dispute. If Arkansas Christian Preschool iscontinuingly being put in the middle of the custody dispute and both parents are notfollowing the appropriate court order agreements, the child will be dismissed from theprogram. Requested documents pertaining to the child will not be given to anyparent unless it is requested by the courts.Campus SecurityArkansas Christian Preschool, ACA, and Family Church do have authorized trainedstaff throughout the campus who carry concealed weapons. Preschool staff and ACAteachers are not part of the armed staff.7Revised 7/22/2022
